Yes the defaulted is satisfied. I have a current & joint bank account, a next account and an old bank account showing as open. Would closing some of these help?0

Hi,
Thanks for the note on this.
As explained the note at the top of the tip was a "quick briefing" and the full briefing was linked to in the guide - which explains in detail
The "cards anyone can get" links you to a section where there are a range of cards explained - including a prepay card - which anyone can get.
When I wrote the link my aim was to ensure people realised there is always a card for someone - and then send them to that area so people could see the various options including the last resort one (whcih explains that some people may not be able to get the cards above)
I hadn't intended to imply all cards are available for everyone though I certainly see how it could be read that way.
Ultimately there is very littel space and my aim was to get quick points over to people who don't normally click through to that guide. Im sorry if this wasn't clear enough - my apologies.
As for your rejection - ultimately that is likely to have a minimum impact on your credit score (if you're being rejected for these cards its likely Im afraid to say that you're score is already substantially below most thresholds).
Yet even had you known these cards could be rejected - it is still good practice to apply for one of them before going to the prepay card - as you can't know whether you'll get it without applying. So actually even with that - Im not sure the scenario should've been any different.

According to its latest annual report Vanquis Bank turns down 80% of applications. The most recent reports on Google News about this business say it is currently turning down 83% of applicants. Since only 500 people have read this thread it would seem a good idea that it urgently received the same promotion as the original email.0
