I'm feeling very pleased with myself - have just spent the morning cooking 54 meal portions for my toddler.
Including:
4 chicken hot pots
4 mild chicken curries
8 cottage pies
5 bolognese
24 turkey & apricot burgers
8 beef burgers
4 salmon fish pies
8 salmon fish cakes
5 cheese & potato pies
He's a fussy eater (at home and not nursery!!!) so I'm going to have to persevere and continue to offer him this food. He holds out for processed food and the dilemna is do I give him the fish fingers/chicken nuggets or nothing at all, if he won't eat his dinner?
The food should just get us through to the next baby's born in 7 weeks time so I think I'll have to do another 'big cook' before she arrives. Let's hope she's not early as I don't fancy cooking with a newborn.
I think the 1st day of my maternity leave has been well spent - now I need a kip before picking him up from nursery!

Do you intend to feed your child anything fresh at all? From Poland...with love.
They are (they're) sitting on the floor.
Their books are lying on the floor.
The books are sitting just there on the floor.0 -

If she has batch baked and frozen the food it will be as fresh and when she cooked in when she reheats it.
Re fussy eating, I would personally let him try food and if he doesn't like it don't make a fuss but don't start making several meals otherwise you will make a rode for you own back. As long as he has his milk, several healthy snacks in the day and the meals you offer he won't starve and I am sure if he is hungry he will eat it :-)0 -
I think that if he's onlyeating proessed then that batch xook has some tings that may fool him into eating other things. That could lead to fresher fos when its less of a fight0

I batched cooked for my LO and he hated it all, hated jars too. Only thing he would eat was that dried powdered c**p cow & gate. Now hes 6 and eats everything put in front of him - only things he doesn't like much is butternut squash and fish fingers !Sealed pot challenge 822

Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, champagne in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming ~ WOO HOO what a ride!0 -
