    Ok,

Now I'm gaining momentum & have just flung another £50 at Barclaycard so that now stands at £2,350 .

Just entered into the snowball which has brought the Debt Free Date back to January 2012 - still too late, but going the right way now.

The unsatisfactory bit is that the Barclaycard DFD is March 2011, humph we'll see about that ...

off to update siggy again :j

    Hello Lula

Don't forget that your December pay will probably have to last until the end of January:eek: Sorry to be the bearer of bad news:eek:

Not much to report from the Horace household today - did spend a week's wages on a lovely new wool rug for my living room which means that I can get rid of one of the manky free ones (I have tried to clean them and managed to get the worst off..these are my skip finds). When I say a week's wages its my working tax credit so said rug cost me 1p less than £50:eek: Still I have saved money as the same rug is in Argos for over £100:eek: A nice man carried said rug to my car and when I got home I managed to persuade another mug to help me get it out of the boot and even carry it upstairs for me (see I am noit afraid to ask and I am not afraid to come across as feeble):rotfl:

Need to go back to quacks tomorrow to re-submit my repeat prescription - the stupid doctor prescribed a 10ml bottle instead of 2 x 5ml bottles of my eye drops..I don't want cross contanimation and end up with uveitis or something worse thank you very much:mad: Must remember to take my new dizzy tablets 3 times a day and go back to see nice male doctor in a month. Must remember to ask him if he is related to a Professor that I know that has the same name.

    Hi Lula

Your spends are a bit like mine (apart from Chessington)! I wanted November to be a frugal, sarahb sytle month but I need car tax, contents insurance and AA! Plus BIL's 40th and paying for work Christmas party  And that's before any fun for me

    Whoah there Shoe Gal,

all that list is an ideal opportunity to make some Quidco cash - ok, maybe not the car tax  but AA/ RAC - I was with AA then switching to RAC netted me £35 last year ;) - & contents insurance definitely - again I think I made about £40 on that little beauty :D

Any news on your cunning plan to work a 4 day week ?

I loathe & detest my home job now but have decided that if I can then I will continue with it until the debt is GONE. It's a kind of win win paln as 1) the debt will be reduced quicker if I keep on working from home too &
    2) I can look forward to giving it up when the debt is gone. That will be my reward

It does suck as today I did 7 hours at home job & the thought of doing that after 5 hours at work job & collecting DD from school & cooking a meal in between makes me feel really grump just thinking about it but it's only for 3 days week as I dont do home job on thursdays so sure I can cope ... _pale_ with the help of a herd or two of Pink Elephants :D

    Other news ;
Had to go the co op for bread & found myself buying lasagne & spinach & ricotta bake for tea & a small tub of ice cream ( half price tho) as well :o £6 is a lot of money for a loaf of bread

    Hi Lula

Yes, RAC will be about £11 for year after cashback :j but wasn't worth changing my contents - queried my renewal and got a cheaper deal :D

Haven't asked yet about 4 day week - am having second thoughts! As I couldn't cut my hours would be 4 very long days plus an hour commute each way

    Hurray for RAC cashback :T

Extra long hours + 2 hours commute sounds rubbish, maybe you are better off as things are for now. Just try hard to keep within your normal hours so you dont get burned out & have to use the precious weekend to catch up on sleep.

I will be checking up on you :D

That sounds like a great plan Lula, I know you hate this job but hopefully that will bring your DFD down considerably??
I've got my own flat :j:j

Now I have to pay the bills

And feed my interiors addiction ;)

    Hello again,

Pretty much a good day all round.

    1 - It's been a NSD :D

2 - Still enjoying job & have collected an admirer :o

    3 - Had the electricity bill in today & it's only £63.17 :j

    4 - Had a free bodywash sample :)

5 - Have a glass of Pink Elephant on the go

Still no sign of Capital One statement but I reckon I'll have to pay about £65 minimum this month.

The amazingly excellent news is the 'so-far-way-under-budget-it's-almost-doing-a-limbo-dance' electricity bill.

It's amazing because it's real - the guy took a reading, & its excellent because it now means that I have another £100 to lob at Barclaycard this month

I hereby declare that by the end of this year Barclaycard will be under £2,000 & the total debt under £5,000.
