We got our leather sofas from Deeside Furniture Outlet in Holywell, North Wales. They are the manufacturers for M&S and Next, and my leather couch (a second admittedly, although you'd barely notice, and after five minutes with my kids, anything would be a second) cost me £480 - £1399 for the same one in M&S.

We also got our M&S leather sofa from there, 1/2 price, and 4yrs later it still looks great :D
They usually have a decent selection of fabric sofas, some furniture, curtains and cushions. You have to be lucky or persistent to get one of the leather sofa seconds (I still can't see what's wrong with ours) which arrive Thursdays I think.

I'm a big fan of Sofa Sofa www.sofasofa.com - a cooperative for local manufacturers.

Are you sure you've got the right company? Sofa Sofa (.co.uk) is a family owned manufacter and Sofa Sofa .com doesn't seem to exist.

    Confused

Sofasofa is great! It is family owned, but in the last few years it has got bigger as 6 different sofa companies amalgamated. They supply most of their sofas via mail order directly from the manufacturer's in Wales, but they also have stores in Wales and I think in Birmingham. The stores are nothing much to look at, they don't have all the DFS hype or the persistent sales people, but a couple of friends have had sofas delivered that are great, and I will be looking there too as soon as I can afford to replace my sofa.

I can also reccomend Sofa Sofa. When I ordered mine they said it would take 4 to 6 weeks, so I was delighted to receive a call informing me they would be ready two weeks after I ordered - especially as it meant we didn't have to sit on the floor for the first two weeks in our new home!

Delivery was at the time promised, the sofas are settling in nicely. no complaints whatsoever.

SofaSofa are brilliant. After receiving fabric samples we decided to visit their showroom in Birmingham and were very impressed with all that we saw. We eventually chose a 3 seater and a bed settee. Promised delivery within 2 weeks and then received a phone call to say they would be arriving at about 7.30 am....yes thats right  They even arrived on time..apparantly they had left South Wales the day before and slept in their lorry over night in a layby so that they can get all the deliveries done on time...not bad for a delivery to the North West
