Why would you need extended warranty on a Hyundai? I thought the big selling point was their fantastic manufacturers warranty. And as for the salesmans smug face, wait till scrappage deals are over and his showroom turns back into the marie celeste, he will
probably be signing on like the rest of the people who's jobs weren't propped up by the goverments (our) money.

I know someone who did a scrappage deal with Toyota for a Yaris....they got £2500 off list, then negotiated several goodies(rear sensors pack) included, total £3000 of list, just in time.......prices are now increasing by about £400, and dont forget VAT goes back to 17.5% in Jan.....another increase.!
  • Finally got my i20 a day before the 4 months delivery period the scrappage scheme imposed. Nice car and dirves really well. I ordered the 2009 version but got the 2010 version so I got ESP for free. Dealer said it's just a way to recompense those who have been waiting ages for it - I waited 2 months beyond the delivery date they originally gave me. Now that I've got the car, I'm glad I perservered.
