PAYG Phone choice (+Network)?

Hey (first time poster here btw :P)
I am looking for a new phone to compliment my work phone. This will have to be PAYG 'cause the bulk of my calls will be on the work phone.
However, I am looking for a PAYG phone that I can use IM (Windows Live Messenger or equiv.) and bit of web browsing (Twitter/Facebook/BBC - stuff like that). I will use my phone on the commute to work (~2hrs either way), and an hour or two time in the evenings when I have no access to the PC too. A good bonus would be a good keypad and it fits in my pocket
I have wireless internet at home but if I look for a Wi-Fi phone then there is a big step up in price, I'm right?
Secondly I'm unsure which network to be on... which tariff would suit my browsing needs best? I see Three (3) have just added free windows live 'always' without top-up since today on PAYG. But maybe there are others that will do a small price for internet (e.g. T-Mobile £2.50/5 days for unlimited internet - but obviously a better deal than that!)
Anyway if you need me to give more specifics then I can.
Thanks for your help in letting me pick my new phone!
Pete.

Anyone got any ideas?
Or if anyone knows please say which is the best PAYG network for unlimited mobile internet on a phone - i.e. an add-on/bundle.
Thanks.0 -
Three pay and go offer all of those types of stuff - you will need bolt on internet for BBC and twitter type stuff.0
-
2.50 for 5 days is expensive over a month - just get a bolt on monthly basis (usually around 5 to 7.50)0

i suggest the skypephone s2 on 3.
free msn and skype without ever topping up.
Then if you want to use the internet, thats a £5 top up a month.0 -
have a look at Asda mobile - v cheap.0
