This was very good but as there was no mention of me or Generali joining us from the beach with a cold one by video link I didn't give it a thanks...

I reckon that if all the regulars in this forum met up in a pub, everyone would sit quietly, be a bit awkward and generally stare at their drinks whilst being quite polite to each other.

Graham: "You think house prices going up is a good thing don't you Hamish?"
Hamish: "Erm, well, yeah, kind of. Each to their own though. I guess. I dunno."
Graham: "Yeah, I know what you mean. Not really a big deal in the grand scheme is it?"

    **awkward pause**

Mewbie: "So, Chucky, erm... you have a BTL empire, right?"
Chucky: "Nah, not an empire. Just a couple of places. Probably lose money on them if I'm honest. Would be just my luck, you know?"
    Mewbie: "Yeah. True mate, true."

**another awkward silence, Graham drops his pint (there's always one)**

Cleaver: "Brit, you said that house prices will drop 50% don't you?"
Brit: "Did I? I dunno. Guess I did yeah. Wouldn't force that view on anyone, just a personal opinion.
    Cleaver: "Yeah, fair enough".

**everyone stares at their shoes, a bit embaressed**

**Broderick is slouched over the end of the bar, drunkenly slurring at the barmaid**

"Blackout Britain warning as Government predicts severe power shortages within a year
Britain faces the first widespread power blackouts since the 1970s(*) because of looming energy shortages, Government documents reveal.
There are also fears of huge electricity and gas price rises as Britain is held to ransom by such foreign energy producers as Russia. Experts have been warning for years that Britain is running out of power, with some predicting the blackouts could be serious enough to spark civil disorder."
What a shame Labour sold off most of BNFL and their skilled engineers to Toshiba and British Energy plc to EDF.

The only Euro peeps with the knowledge to build Nuclear are the French. No wonder the EU quickly banned coal and oil-fired stations - the French can now charge what they like to build us our stations and what ever they can get away with for the 'lecky produced. EDF have UK plc over a barrel

##Things can only get better.## :rotfl:

(*) Yep, that was when Labour were last 'running' the country. Running it into the ground, that is.
    I think....

My avatar is me (I think or is it the picture of my son? I can't remember and won't be able to see until I hit 'post').

If you have a meet up in the pub, I'll join in by video link. Unless you want to have it at Wenty Leagues club in which case I'll come in person.
