I think I vote for Martin for starting the thread on Inheritance Tax, which has proved to be very popular despite my own reservations that MSE members would not be interested in it.

I cannot think of any other money-saving tips that can instantly save £105,200 and with further savings over the coming years.
  • I'd like to nominate Ella's Lipstick post

Sometimes freebies are barely worth the effort of getting them, but this one was lovely - plus all the girls in my office have benefitted and I'm quite popular as a result!

Surely, to qualify for the £50 prize for Post of the Month, shouldn't the post result in a saving of at least £50 for any one individual?

Just how much is a Clinique lipstick worth - and only half the population uses them anyway!
  • Paul thats quite a funny post from someone who "thinks" he will vote for Martin to give himself the £50 cheque and hasn't given the link to the thread for everyone to read??

I suggest you read Martin's post on the Thread of the Month

Ella's post may be for a low value product but this doesn't detract from the fact that a lot of people got a free lipstick and a lot of men got brownie points from their significant other by taking the time out to find it :)

I vote for ARB78 for deal for existing sky customers. For me it meant a saving of £60 over next 3 months.

mine is a personal one so I'll be the only one voting for her but she really helped me out - westywoodpecker bought me the glass paints from the hobbycraft thread and didn't want me to pay her back or anything..

It's nice to see that this is a real community with people helping each other out instead of bitching for once :)
  • i'd like to nominate Libra for the amazon voucher. Just got mine and it will be well used.
    Cheers
