Sky TV Internet order for a flat

Hi there. I've been reading this forum after a web search brought me here with regards to Sky TV deals online. It seems to be the consensus that the best way to get Sky TV for a new installation is via Quidco online.

I have just moved into a new flat, in a block of 21, and as such I believe that usually means I can't order online, but would hate to pass up the cashback and the Tesco vouchers if I don't have to. Most of the other flats in my building have Sky TV via a dish on their balcony, as our balconies are all directly outside the living room and south facing. They are metal frame so installation of a dish would be easy, and there is no communal dish on the building already.

Given the above, would it be somehow possible to place the order online as normal to benefit from all the bonuses, or is this completely impossible?

Many thanks in advance,
Maz

I know two people that have tried this - one got it sorted ok (but only had to be connected to the communal dish outside her window), and the other one had his order cancelled and was then charged extra for a special install.
    Gone ... or have I?
  • Hi there,

Thanks for the reply. Do you happen to know any more details regarding the second installation? Was there a balcony or was it a wall install, and how much was the charge for the rescheduled installation? I suppose given the first order was cancelled the cashback wasn't available anyway though.
  • Hello All,

Sorry to bump an old thread, but I did a search and could not find a reply to my question.

I am moving into a new build block of 12 flats. There is wiring for Sky TV, and a communal dish. Will I qualify for quidco cashback?

    Thanks :)

Why not sign up online, then ring them giving special instructions?

I signed up online (via half price offer), rang to change my installation date as I needed it after those options given...and still got Quidco :-)
  • Ok.. I will give it a go. Just don't want to be hit with any surprise charges!
