LG Cookie Silver

No matter how much I have tried to convince my daughter otherwise, she still wants an LG Cookie and prefereably in Silver. (I have read better reviews for Tocco Lite but she refuses to go there! Guess who would end up chasing over a duff Cookie as I hear so often happens).
Anyway, really want to be on O2 or Tesco mobile due to reception issues in our area. I can only find Cookie in silver on Orange network, but not from somewhere selling them as unlocked i.e. CPW.
Examples are from Argos and obviosuly from Orange themselves.
Anyone else sourced one from elsewhere? More importantly, is a LG Cookie on Orange unlockable? I am reluctant to go down this route as with all problems people have with this phone, unlocking it and changing network presumably would invalidate warranty. I am therefore 'exploring' the scenario

If only I could stop finding good bargains on this site, I would save a fortune! :rotfl:

If you are talking Lg Cookie KP501 (rather than KP500) unlocked, you can pick it up new from ebay (£106 free delivery).
-- Add or even £99.99 seen another on ebay.0 -
And the Link has the phone for just over £97 on o2 - free delivery.0

Thanks for that - yes think that is the KP 501. Had done a search online earlier but hadn't come up with anything other than Orange network so thanks for that.If only I could stop finding good bargains on this site, I would save a fortune! :rotfl:0

I think its the same - Orange apparently named the phone KP501 whilst other networks have it as KP500 - same thing in that case (if I am right).
The cheapest I have seen on pay and go is at The Link web site (as mentioned above).
Got the black version myself - 12 month contract - wont be costing that much after cashbacks :-) Rock and Roll.
Ok enough phone - said it before on other threads, camera is pretty carp, typing you get used to it but you need small fingers to be honest - not great for gaming. The postive is it comes with a pencil so you can pick your ears (just kidding) and it has doodling pad for drawing, radio is good, sound good.0 -
Hey OneADay, ur really selling this phone to me! The pencil to pick your ears is the clincher.
Seriously tho, would rather she got the tocco lite - seems less buggy and more robust from reviews I have read. Going to take her to shop in next couple of days in hope she will be convinced but will look up suggestions you have made in meantime just in case my mission fails. If only I could stop finding good bargains on this site, I would save a fortune! :rotfl:0 -
I only got it cos I got it dirt cheap deal (after I get my cashbacks).
On the other hand, other people do like it and it rates well.
The samsung tocco is perhaps a bit more meaty maybe but I would rather have Sony C510 (if I could - its like the Sony k series which were popular).0
