Might be worth checking Youtube. I know that when Mr Fresian was learning computery things and couldn't figure it out from a book he looked up Youtube tutorials. You can get them on anything from spreadsheets to applying makeup!

What are you having for your Xmas dinner?
Hello!
Nice and snowy here but with the worrying side effect that the weather might be mince on Tuesday when I'm getting driven to Inverness then getting a train down the road. I'm stuck sitting in Inverness for two hours on Tuesday as well as my dad has to go straight back home for a funeral. It's going to be a cold wait! Does anyone know if Inverness train station has left luggage? If I'm stuck there I may as well go to Primark
Christmas dinner will be either:
Beef (Reduced to £1.50)
Chicken (Either bought as part of Dine In For A Tenner or half price corn-fed posh birds!)
Lamb (Free from my folks)
and will be accompanied by:
Half price Finest roasties
Half price posh Yorkshire puddings
and then followed by:
Profiteroles (Dine In For A Tenner)
Ben and Jerrys (Two tubs for £3 in Tesco)
Crackers are from last year as I bought a box of 12 and there's only two of us - the cats struggle to pull them due to their lack of opposable thumbsMost of the gifts I have bought for Mr Fresian have been via Bangzo or using Quidco.
It's a Very Merry MSE Christmas in Fresian Towers :snow_laug0 -

Aaawww...shucks
I don't aim to be inspirational or anything like it, I've just embraced being skint and am now so good at bargain hunting I don't even think about it :rotfl:
I was aiming to be Debt Free By 30 (next year) but think that unless something major happens I won't pull this off. What does please me though is that I am now free of credit card and overdraft debt, and am using a credit card sensibly in that I'm paying it off every month.
I've been admiring you actually as I'm really impressed with your Budgeteering :T I have neither the time nor the patience for this! I always start really well but can't be ersed filling in the spreadsheets etc! Maybe I could have a new diary/new start in 2010 again! I like a shiny new diary at the beginning of the year!
I think I'm rambling now, off to eat breakfast

Well, you're up to 42 pages now which is rather a lot and that is only in a few weeks!. Maybe you could start a new thread each payday, or first of month or whatever. I think it would encourage more new subscribers as sometimes I cannot be fagged wading through hundreds or thousands of posts so I bet there's loads of great diaries on here that I am missing because I can't be bothered starting from the beginning. Also, you post every day so you can get away with it as there would be a lot of posts in a month.
Yes - I've decided. You're starting a new thread!Start Date: 27/11/2010

Back in civilization tonight :j so will get to see Mr Fresian and the kittens. Tomorrow would be my normal payday so I'm moving money around having not touched a penny of my early wages :A I managed to PAD over £50 today!!
I'm meeting the lovely Palema tomorrow for a coffee and to collect the S&G box she bought me. I'll also collect the other one I bought and courier it to mumof4. It's such a helpful MSE family here :T
Better dash - we're due to leave for Inverness at 8am and my dad gets narky if I'm late :rotfl:0
