Hokay dokay. Need to get my bum in gear and order tatco clubcard vouchers to cover the ferry to the wedding we're going to to keep things as cheap as possible. Still procrastinating about a gift and more importantly about the arangements for the whole thing. 12 hours travel, 2 nights in a hotel and 12 hours travel home to cram into a 2 and a half day weekend plus I still have to write to school to ask permission to take the DDs out for a day to do it. All this for someone who we haven't seen in almost 3 years, haven't spoken to in 6 months and who the kids won't recognise anyway. Total madness.

Forgot to say - have fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sadly nowhere near as exotic and no chance of abandoning the children with anyone since the wedding is that of OHs baby sister in M-I-Ls hotel on the Isle of Wight. Its debatable whether we'll be allowed to pay for accomodation - we don't normally but then we've only ever been when the place is shut.

Have ordered ferry vouchers via Clubcard deals. £95 return for 2 x 40 minute journeys. Not impressed. Still its considerably cheaper than the £60 reduced rate that M-I-L has offered by booking on her trade account.

    Things to Do

    This morning I have to:

    • [strike]Post final Ebay package and curse people who think it's ok to wait 4 sodding days to pay for a 99p item[/strike]
    • [strike]Pick up bridesmaids dress from the alterations lady and pray to All The Gods it fits as it's too late now if not....[/strike] She gave me a heart attack by saying it wasn't ready, but it's all done now!
    • [STRIKE]Call doctors and get Mr Fresian an appointment for this morning as he's nearly out of brain pills[/STRIKE]
    • [strike]Get Mr Fresian out of bed[/strike] (No mean feat given that he slept through the building work outside - they were using a jackhammer on the side of the house and he slept like a baby)
    • [strike]Pack all stuff[/strike]

All stuff done. Have undoubtedly forgotten something!

Have a lovely couple of days, People Of The Internet. Back Saturday!

Ooh, and I'm marking today as my 1st NSD of September as anything I spend will be from the Wedding Savings therefore already budgeted for.

    I'm baaaaacccckkkk!

Hope everyone has had a fabulous weekend :D

The wedding was amazing and the best one I have ever been to. It was a Humanist ceremony, so all about the bride and groom and nothing about religion (Neither are believers!) It was a black and purple themed event, the bride's dress was spectacular and us bridesmaids all wore black cocktail dresses, tiny bowler hats and carried fans. Very 1940's glamour. I loved my outfit :D

We danced and drank until the wee hours and had an amazing time. The first half of the reception was a traditional Scottish ceilidh and the second half was a rock disco (Think AC/DC and Marilyn Manson) All in all it was the perfect wedding for the happy couple and I had the most fun ever. I don't know if Mr Fresian got any ideas though Primula :rotfl:

I didn't spend a penny over my allotted budget of £100 for the weekend (Woo!) so I have counted Thursday and Friday as NSDs. I spent 65p for a newspaper yesterday so no NSD there - I'm saving the tokens for the Lego Star Wars toys for my brother's birthday (He's 27 this year!!) Now, my usual long-winded update:

    Budgeteering Challenge

My Virgin bill has come out of my account (Boo!) so that increases the amount spent. I have also spent my 65p on a paper and £5.19 in Morrisons yesterday.

    Total Spend = £260.02

Budget remaining for challenge = £2,739.98

On the plus side, I got a letter from Scottish Power saying that they're putting my monthly bill back down again (Oh, how I hate them...) to £97 so that will save me £25 per month as of October.

    General Money Gubbins

Mr Fresian has given me the money he owed me from his rebate cheque (Woo!!) so I have over £400 in my bank account. I will be using this to pay off my credit card (Spends are from before September moo2moo, I'm not cheating!) which will leave me with a balance of £302.11. I don't know what I'm going to be doing with this money although I think it should go towards my A&L overdraft. I am going to see how I feel tomorrow I think.

So, money situation at present is:

Spends account = £302.11 (Not for long!)
    PAD account = £30.00
Entertainment account = £38.16 (We're possibly off to the movies later so that could reduce!)
    Groceries account = £129.24
    Money in purse = £32

All in all it's looking quite healthy. There are 17 days until payday.
