LOL who is miffed off here then? Certainly not me! The wikipedia info is useful to a point, although doesent make the info I found any less relevant or genuine. The same concerns along with names, dates of research can be found at http://www.be-you.com/Display.php?ID=782

The site it was taken from is genuine as are the scientists who conducted the research so those who think it is misinformation are themselves misinformed-Enjoy your new ovens.

I wasn't mentioning any names so if you're responding, I guess you think that the hat fits...but as I said before, no point being miffed.

I bet they've got a team of bearded 'scientists' cooking Birds Eye meals, eating them and going:

Scientist 1: "nope, still horrible - try another 2 minutes but with only 80% power this time"
Scientist 2: "please don't make me eat any more Ocean Pie, it's rank!"
Scientist 1: "OK let's have another crack at the chicken and brocolli bake"

And then once every two weeks they finally get one that scrapes in as edible and another product gets barcoded. By 2031 (when we all eat powder anyway) they have done the whole range...

Hehe - I suspect that it zaps everything to exactly the same degree. After all, they wouldn't want to be sued if the oven misreads a bar-code and you die from a salmonella infection. Wonderful self-regulation mechanism is the latent heat of evaporation of water (i.e. boiling!)...
Time is an illusion - lunch time doubly so.

We roasted a large Chicken and Spuds today with the bar codes off the website, must say it was excellent, large chicken took an hour to do and was perfect, spuds took 30mins and were just as good, thanks again op turned a hectic Sunday into a calm one.
If you find my post helpful please do not click thanks, instead please send the thanks to my paypal account.

The Hidden hazards of microwave cooking
    I too found this hilarious.
Continually eating food processed from a microwave oven causes long term, permanent, brain damage by "shorting out" electrical impulses in the brain [de-polarizing or de-magnetizing the brain tissue].
Not unless you eat your food with youe head inside the microwave and press the start button.
A breakdown of the human "life-energy field"
Ah - that will be the invisible and undetectable "chi" fields that alternative therapies carp on about. Being invisible and undetectable I'd be fascinated to know what instruments they used to measure how it was affected by microwaved food.

There are lots of scare site around on this subject. Many quote the supposed scientific study by Hertel and Blanc without mentioning it was conducted on a population group of just 8 people including the "scientists" themselves. Or they mention the fact that Russia banned microwaves in 1976 but forget to mention the ban was lifted just a few years later.

I am willing to accept that microwaves may destroy some nutrients (but can also prevent the loss of vitamins compared to boiling vegitables) and damaged ovens might leak microwaves which don't do you much good, but please get your information from proper scientific studies, not one sided evangelical web sites with an axe to grind.
