I have not had any problems getting car insurance.
I don't understand why they ask if your BR and what it has to do with car insurance, as you not asking for debtSealed Pot Number 018 🎄2009..£950.50 🎄2010..£256 🎄 2011..£526 🎄2012..£548.80 🎄2013...£758.88🎄2014...£510 🎄2015...£604.78 🎄2016...£704.50 🎄2017...£475 🎄2018...£1979.12 🎄2019...£408.88🎄2020...£1200.63...🎄2021…£588 🎄2022 £672… 🎄2023 £3,783.90 🎄2024…£3,882.57🎄2025…£4083.🎄20260 -
ASDA home insurance is a big NO - it states in their eligibility criteria that you could not ever have been bankrupt.

Very strange this as I am with “More than” for my content and Esure for my Car. I went bankrupt in 2006 and had no problems with either policy. I didn’t tell them however and maybe that’s why as both polices were running before I went bankrupt.0

I'd check with them because you don't want to be paying out to find they won't pay out on a claim.
Esure wouldn't quote on my home insurance but it didn't say why. It could be reasons other than bankruptcy (it might be my home) as they were going to quote for contents.

Should I contact Asda and let them know I've been declared BR? It happened after I took the policy out - both car and contents.BR 08/06/09 ED 10/03/10BSC member 2500 -

I've emailed Asda about my contents and car insurance so I'll wait and see what they say - fortunately I pay it monthly so if I have to find a new one will hopefully be easier to set up.
Lost2 - tried that site but it just 'hangs' after getting the prices for the first 3 in the list!BR 08/06/09 ED 10/03/10BSC member 2500 -
Just did a quote with more than they asked

To make sure you are eligible please confirm whether the following statements are true:
You and your family HAVE NOT:- received any conviction or police caution except for driving offences
- had insurance cancelled, declined or declared void << never had insurance cancelled or declared void, I have been declined in a quote when I ticked Bankruptcy. Is this what it's getting at?
- made any claims in the last 3 years for the cover you require.

Well finally got some quotes from the site for BR folks and guess what - of the 8 companies who quoted for me supposedly knowing I was BR, when reading the small print saw that they didn't take people who were BR!!
Still not had a response from Asda yet but I'll let you know when I do.BR 08/06/09 ED 10/03/10BSC member 2500
