Why do people insist on turning off user account control because it does what its supposed to? You wouldn't remove the seatbelts from your car... would you?

Vista runs ALL accounts under the normal "user" role, (except the built in administrator account).

When you need to perform an action that requires admin rights, UAC will then give you an admin role token for that action only (if you have an admin account). its supposed to sperate normal actions from admin actions.

Its stems from the idea your login should use the least amount of privileges for what you need to do but still has optional functionality if you need it.

dont disable uac just take ownship of all the files you need.
