Currently have a massive corner bath and no shower (don`t laugh) but would like a big walk in shower which I think would mean we have to loose the bath... just wondering if those of you who have only a shower miss a bath, or do you get used to it. I don`t want a bath with shower over it!
Thanks
DH wanted us to have just a real walk in shower, 1700mm x 800mm - the foorprint of the bath.
I wouldn't hear of it & we have a pumped electric shower over our bath.
I'm sorry I didn't listen to him:rolleyes:0 -
When i did the bathroom i moved things so that there would be a bath and shower.
The shower is to use, the bath is where you hang washing to dry.Liverpool is one of the wonders of Britain,
What it may grow to in time, I know not what.

Good morning: At the moment it is your house:fit what suits your needs. Removing the cylinder cupboard wall and fitting a shower in the space is a popular solution...the OH has done this for many clients over the years.

As long as it can be altered back, do what suits you. Many home buyers rip everything out and start again anyway!0

i had this debate not so long back as we are revamping the bathroom - ive not used the bath in over a year - just shower
I wanted a P shaped bath - best of both worlds - however our room just isnt big enough to accomodate one.... so we have gone for a 750 wide bath with shower screen
however when we get around to building the extension - defo having a wet room lol0 -
Thanks all, don`t think we will be moving! really want a big shower but also love my bath. Think I`ll have to work out how much actual space there will be if I take out airing cupboard wall. As we need a new boiler as well will mean the tank will go so this will free up space. We`ve just come back from holiday and the shower was massive this is whats got me thinking about just big shower...but saying that last night had a lovely relaxing bubble bath.0

infact - if there is room you *could* go for both.... you can get shorter baths if that helps - this is what my other halfs parents are currently planning - having a short bath which will allow them to go for a reasonable sized shower enclosure!0
