There's a 10 day stabilisation period involved when your line gets upgraded to adsl2+.
Is your modem adsl2+ compliant?
Are you actually connecting on adsl2+ ?
Have you checked your wiring, filters etc. and are you using the test socket?
What does the bt speedtester say http://speedtester.bt.com/ ?
Did you ask for your line to be upgraded in return for a new contract?
What speeds were you getting before the upgrade?
What are the linestats from your router - http://www.kitz.co.uk/adsl/frogstats.php ?“I look like Spiderman at a funeral”~ Karl Pilkington0 -
to answer some of your questions1 been out and bought everything newfliter changedall cables are new router brand new adsl2+ routerconnecting through test socketbt tester is listing me at 135k with a upload of 225kand i didnt ask for bt to do anything they tiold me the exchange will be upgraded to 20 meg my down time wopuld be 10 mins maxits now been 14 days so the 10 stab is off the mark alsobt said they cant find a fault but they saud if i renewed to a 18 motnth contract i might find my problem might be fixedofcom and otelo have had emails sent to them i will phone to update both in morning regarding the contract thing 135k is way short if upto 20meg befor this was done i had a very stable 7meg for years0

If it's just your exchange that has been upgraded and not your particular line then the 10 day thing won't apply. Don't think BT are automatically shifting people over unless they apply for it.

OP, BT's comments are absurd, you are already under contract, so they are obliged to provide you with a working service. You just happen to be beyond the minimum term-so what? If they take that approach then I would just call their bluff and ask for your MAC-why give your business to a company that treats you like that?No free lunch, and no free laptop0

adsl2+ on 21cn does not have a 10 day training period as the nature of the product is 21cn systems so should stabilise if incorrect IP profile has occured within a max 72 hour window.
Have a look here for alternative providers. http://www.dslzoneuk.net/isp_ratings.php0 -

Don't think this is relevant any more to this thread but since I brought it up just to clarify the 10 day stabilisation period has nothing to do with profiles, just the setting of MSR. Profiles are set before migration based on historical data if interleaving is left unchanged, otherwise after. Up to how the ISP orders the migration from BTw. [FONT=Arial, sans-serif]
