House price rises "not sustainable"

Competition will materialise as the economy improves, this has already started slightly. When banks start to cempete for business again, these margins will be reduced as the base rate rises.
Like the competition in credit cards has reduced credit card interest you mean? Like the competition in personal loans has bought the rates down you mean?
I was going to go with Borat again, but I'll stick with this for the sake of other peoples sanity.

Plenty of great 0% credit card deals around.
I suppose you think these are just 'advertising' also, even though I have got 4 in the last 6 months.0 -

LOL.
Deals do not detract from the point that most loan and credit card rates have gone up for existing customers.
Again, you are relying solely on adverts, without looking at the issues.
4 credit cards in the last 6 months? Bloody hell, nearlynew, where are you?!?!?0 -
I can think of three. Which ones are you using at the mo?
(Tesco, Virgin and capital one are the only ones I know about).0 -

How can a loan rate go up for an existing customer?0 -

...just wondering why your sig previously said '<<<<< house prices will not fall below this point' ....
...but now youve changed it to 'bottom for this cycle'?
what does that mean? you expecting another cycle which will take prices lower than feb?We cannot change anything unless we accept it. Condemnation does not liberate, it oppresses. Carl Jung

Means sense and reason is starting to make Dan think that was a stupid thing to say. Luckily mewbie had already caught onto this fact

Actually, respect for that new sig Dan.
You've managed to make a prediction, based totally on the past, which can never be wrong.
Why? Because a new downward trend in house prices will mean it's a new cycle.
That's pretty genius.0 -
