Oh - does anyone have any experience with those steam things that you can use to iron your clothes while they are still hanging up ie. not on the ironing board?

I saw an advert for one and it looks really good and I thought it would be very useful for us as we don't really have space to do ironing properly and dh's shirts are getting worse and worse as they rarely get ironed, but he's really resistant to the idea and thinks I should just do ironing properly!

i got one as a buzz agent and they are brill dd1 always borrows it and takes it to her house really good but expensive i have a phillips one

got to go golf with ds 1

    bye for now

Greenbee hugs hun just try to relax a little you are doing too much you don't want to be ill as you start your new job xx Take care and have a good sleep.

Have you changed anything like creams, wash powder softner etc My sis in law was allergic to the new air freshner her mother bought and she ended up in a terrible mess as they could not find the trigger for ages.

I think it must be the disinfectant/disturbance in the attic (and possibly the flea shampoo from the weekend ) as generally this is a chemical free household! I think I'm feeling better today, but I'm not sure how long it will take to tell :D

Hope you enjoy all those lovely veggies for lunch!

Right... I've had breakfast so think I'm probably awake now... washing on the line has dried, just need to check up on pillows and get the mattress topper done if I can fit it in the machine!

quillion - can i come round to yours for dinner? sounds yum.

Back from B & SiL's. Had a lovely time but am always glad to get back home! This place is doing my head in a bit at the moment - hasn't had a proper deep clean in a while and there seems to be stuff in my way all the time. I am going to make a start soon and do what I can. DH is going to the pub tonight, I fancy a night in and will do the lounge then (he's in here at the moment and doesn't want to move!). First job is to wash up, get the bathroom stuff in the WM and clean the bathroom. Then put everything in its rightful place, including all the piles of clean washing away, then dust/wipe right through and i'll hoover through tonight. DH has been promising to hoover the hall and stairs for weeks. I might just do it myself, won't take long and i hate it being dusty.

Am still not 100% well, antibiotics are working a bit but feels like i've been coughing and snotty forever (it is about a month i suppose!)

Anyone want to join me 3.45-4.15pm?

Achieved all the out of house things I needed to. Just having a cuppa then I'm either sorting the stationery drawer or finishing the ironing, can't decide which.

Mattress topper in the WM... it can't go in the TD, so might have to take it with me to dry.

I need to work out what HAS to be done before I leave:

Open windows and air house! :D
Spray window frames/doors with spider repellant ;)
DW done and off (not necessarily empty)
    Mattress topper washed
    Bins emptied
    Washing up done
    Hot water off
Spare room tidied enough to pack
    Work out what to pack
    Packing
    Roof rack on car
    Kayak on roof
Paddle, seat, life jacket, trolley & waterproof in car...
    Watering

Do I need to mow before I disappear for a week?

    Packing list:
    Jeans, shorts, leggings, walking trousers
Flipflops, birkenstocks, walking sandals (although I don't reckon I'll be wearing them any time soon!
Skirt etc (that can be worn with mules/birkenstocks
    Bikinis/swimming costumes
    Bras, T-shirts, knickers
Fleeces (all dirty, will have to wash when I get there!)
    Jumper
    PJs
    Towels
    5' fitted sheet
Kingsize duvet cover (n.b. stop off at s/mkt if on time and buy 2 single duvets)
Anything from fridge that might go off (oops... still have beans/courgettes from a couple of weeks ago :o

So... how quickly do you reckon I can get that lot done? WM will be finished in about an hour...

Oh yes... and I need a shower! Hopefully it will wake me up.

Not sure I've got the energy to haul the kayak onto the car roof though!

    Afternoon all,

I did the car boot sale, made £15 and got rid of about 1/3 of what i took. There weren't many people there so i'm hoping the one in 2 weeks is better. It's Dsd1's Birthday party today so i'm going over OH's in a bit to help. When i come back i've got to get DS1's stuff ready for school and prepare for my interview.

I never did find my extras list yesterday:rolleyes: i'd better do that now as i'm sure i've got stuff to add to it.

    My Extras
    Go through files & shred
List as much as possible on Ebay 1 done and taken back off because i sold it at the car boot sale :ji need to try harder with this:rolleyes:
    Clean & tidy Utility room
    Pet & home insurance Quotes
    Book jabs for rabbits
    Order xmas presents with vouchers
    Label uniform
    Find job advert/ description
    Take bags to charity shop
    Clean rabbits
Sort bags that came out of car
Wrap Dsd1's Birthday presents & buy card

Just had a late lunch - cream cheese with freshly cooked beetroot sandwich - yum! Funniest thing ever, I cooked the beetroot last night and peeled it only when I made my sandwich. Left the beetroot peel in a bowl on the side and guess what - one of the cats tucked into it like it was roast chicken!
