didn't our generation (whatever that is) get over heartbreak with a box of tissues and a soppy film on the telly? Did we come in at silly o'clock? No.....cos nowhere was open.....

Ther finger is now fine my own fault i was drying the scissors and closed them up like an idiot. They are so sharp at least the cut is clean.

I have some new knives and i am dreading using them for the first time i just know i will cut myself with them till i am used to the weight.

  • Hello, i'm very tired today so sadly haven't been able to go to my Bible meeting. am going to listen in on the phone but am sad i couldn't actually be there. have been asleep all morning and am trying to get going now.

tomorrow i'm going to concentrate on a bedroom list - the one from last week if it's not officially bedroom day tomorrow - as i've not done the bedroom for ages and it really needs doing.

also i need to good kick to get me back into washing up every day - i've not been doing it and i need to catch up with lots of washing up. so please kick me and make me do it!

i'm very pleased because i've finished sewing up the cushion cover for my friend's wedding present so that's one thing off my list of things that need doing. i've got another wedding to go to in october, so am thinking of starting another cushion cover - if i'm strict and make myself knit for 30 mins a day it might be ready by January! LOL!

Hugs Toochoosey hope you feel better soon

Greenbee well done on your walk, hope you’re not too tired today and that your blisters heal quickly

Lil me – what a relief to get the gas sorted out and no body got hurt while it was leaking, what a long time to have a gas leak. hope dh helps you with the unpacking too

hugs Mummy of 5, hope you feel less down soon, we are all here if you need to talk

Lady Liberty, hope the CT scan goes well tomorrow, remember we will all be there holding your hand xx

Elly, wow, 10 kittens! Congratulations to miss edna! how many cats do you have?

  • Oh - does anyone have any experience with those steam things that you can use to iron your clothes while they are still hanging up ie. not on the ironing board?

I saw an advert for one and it looks really good and I thought it would be very useful for us as we don't really have space to do ironing properly and dh's shirts are getting worse and worse as they rarely get ironed, but he's really resistant to the idea and thinks I should just do ironing properly!
