Ticali Broadband Help Needed

Hi, a friend of mine has installed tiscali broadband and has it working on the xp user account he installed it on, but when he logs onto the other user account there is no internet (he says he did choose the options of saving the details for all users of the computer at installation). He tried using the installation cd while logged into the second user account but all he had the option of doing was uninstalling. There must be an easy way to sort this out but at the moment I cant think of it, and not having tiscali myself I wondered if anyone knows a way round this problem? thanks in advance.

Probably his best bet is to take note of any changes/options/things he has typed in, uninstall Tiscali and reinstall it, making even surer than last time that he installs it for All Users.

This may well be faster and less problematic than trying to move shortcuts around in Documents and Settings...

I just spoke to him and he said he reinstalled and chose the option to save the details (user and pass) for other user accounts, but still no joy. I know that for some programs you can just copy the appropriate folder from the program list for that account and put it in all users but im not sure if it would work in this instance, guess i'l have to go round and try that. Does no-one on here use tiscali on more than one xp account?

Can you ask him what the problem is showing as, when he is trying to access Tiscali in "the other" user account? Is it just that there is no icon or shortcut for Tiscali? What programs is he trying? Are there any error messages? Is there anything in the System Event Log?

There is no icon and i think he placed the icon in the shared folder of the main account and is trying to run it from the second account.

open control panel, then Network and internet connections, then network options, when opened it should show the tiscali connection, right click with mouse and create shortcut on desktop. Might work

Has your friend gone to Tiscali home page and used knowledge base in broadband help under blue help tab? You'll find answers for setting up accounts etc there.
