I saw the people leaving but saw my hubby lying in a pool of blood unconsious.the police have said we cannot press charges as my hubby could not remember and none saw anything(people are to scared to say they did)well anyway he's got head injuries and one of his teeth was knocked out one is slack (cannot go to dentist yes as his face is still swollen)he had a brain scan on Monday that's fine thank god but he had got bad concussion.hes lost a week of work and none knows how long this concussion going to last as all time he gets up he goes dizzy and feels sick. i thought the police would of done a bit more as in victum suport but noones been around am just after a bit of advice thanks

I cannot really help you will claiming criminal injuries as it is not in my remit, though a good solictor could help you with this.
Is your husband off work?0 -
Surely, Police ought to be taking this serious as it seems like a serious assault. More effort should have been made to track down the culprits0

Your first port of call should be the IPCC website to make a complaint. That is an unacceptable response from the police.
Your next stop is here: http://www.cica.gov.uk/ to begin a CICA claim.
I hope your husband has a speedy recovery.Starting Debt: ~£20,000 01/01/2009. DFD: 20/11/2009 :j

you said you knowand your kids saw who it was you also stated in your first post "i saw them leaving but i saw my husband lying unconsious" im confused did you see them or not if you did youre a witness and so are they so the police would use that
i dont mean to be funny but it sounds like your making this up as you go along
obviously if it did happen i hope your husband gets betterReplies to posts are always welcome, If I have made a mistake in the post, I am human, tell me nicely and it will be corrected. If your reply cannot be nice, has an underlying issue, or you believe that you are God, please post in another forum. Thank you0 -
you would not get anything really from the ICB for that anyway so not worth pursuing0

Check out the link in post no 4. You would have a good case for some compensation - a friend of mine was mugged and had his cheekbone fractured (ended up having to have a plate inserted) and got some compensation.
I wish I had known about it when I got mugged - I've been left with a permanent scar on my forehead and had some minor psychological symptoms afterwards.
Once your husband has recovered, it might help him to speak to someone from Victims Support.0
