We had something similar a few weeks back. We were reversing out of a space, but the car whizzing past was A)on the wrong side of the road and B) Speeding.

We called our insurance company and they weren't interested in the details - it came down to the fact that we were making a manouvre and were at fault regardless of what actually happened. There's not much you can do unless you can prove it was malicious intent on the part of the other driver.
I'll have some cheese please, bob.
  • Reverse in reverse out debate is a good one. I drive in forward for the aforementioned reasons and I can see why people reverse in. I'm confident driving my car in reverse, some people are confident with a shopping trolley.
Its just a matter of choice.
I've also tried the parking away up the back where no-one else is but when you come out, theres still normally a car either side of you.
I've just had the misfortune of my bike being knocked over. One of the people in the car said there wasnt much damage, it looked ok. Suzuki say £2700 worth.
Luckily, the insurers going with Suzuki.
