Sorry If this sounds a stupid question but I am going to change to a new broadband service provider,Tiscali currently too expensive and also connection speed often slow.
Does any one know if I will be able to use the free tiscali wireless router sent to me will be compatible to use for the new provider probably Plusnet or Orange. I assume tiscali will not want their old router returned
Thanks for any help

Yes, any ADSL wireless router will work with any ADSL service, but both Plusnet and Orange will supply you with one anyway. You can use the existing one, but the new ISP may not support it, so if you get any technical probs, you are on your own.
Orange bb not recommended, unless you are switching to a non-LLU provider you will not necessarily get any faster speeds, as you will still be on the same BT Wholesale connection.
Suggest you look at the non-LLU options for your exchange on samknows.com
It will say in your T&C's whether the old router has to be returned. No free lunch, and no free laptop

If the router was supplied by your current isp then it may be locked to them and cant be used with any other isp without complex unlocking proceedures.
Your new isp will probably give you a new router for free (most do) so best to use that as if you require any tech help they will only help you with the router they supplied.0
