Anyone been to the Aloha Pureto Hotel or the Don Pablo.
  • Yes I have been to the Aloha Puerta a couple of years ago. It is at the very end of Torremolinos, actually nearer to Benalmadena, very near to the marina, right on the promenade. It is a very nice hotel. Every room has a seperate lounge. The food is really nice with lots of variety. We would definitely go there again.
  • Pes Espada between torromolinos and benalmadena great hotel right on the promenade about 10mins walk along the prom to marina at benalmadena and the other way 10 mins walk to a lovely back road where there are shops and bars. Excellent hotel nice food, rooms nice can book on thomsons website £25 euros in taxi from airport.
  • Library neck many thanks for that will give it consideration also is there any one on the forum been to the Riu Belplaya been told thats quite nice.

The Belplaya is quite a long way out of town near Los Alamos - although there is a train stop at Los Alamos. The promenade strip is nice for walking but prices down there are obviously inflated. The town is filled with bars and restaurants and some good shops. The train can take you to Fuengirola to the west and Malaga to the east - both worth a visit - really good shops at Malaga Maria Zambrano station. Anybody going to Torry and not exploring the town is missing out a bit.

I have owned a small apartment in Torry for 28 years - done the discos, the bars and am now winding now and enjoy a meal, a drink and a stroll around!
  • Barginunter. Thanks for the info, but we have booked the Riu belplaya we are both 65 and my wife is partially disabled can only walk about 50-100 yards but i do have a wheelchair for her. I rang thomsons today and they said the hotel was wheelchair/disabled friendly and the hotel was in a very flat area so more or less that influenced my decision, but thanks everybody for all your replies.
    Regards

I hope that you enjoy your holiday shimsham , the food at the Bellplaya was superb when I was there about four years ago. I understand that the Riu are now in the same group as Thomsons. We may be there later in the year!
