The beach in Torremolinos is below the town and accessible by steps or lifts - unless you stay at the Malaga end of the promenade. Aloha Puerto Sol is in the Montemar area quite near to Benalmadena Marina. Don't whatever you do book for the Torremolinos Beach Club (food poisoning rife).

You can access the Principe Sol here as well. The website says that both are adapted for the disabled so you should be fine. Take the high spf - it's hot!0 -

Been twice now - the Don Pedro, the Sol Don Marco and the Don Pablo are all on the same complex - they are fab and just along from them is a lift up to the town centre, first time we stayed in the Don Marco which is lovely, then we took the kids and booked the Don Pedro (we couldn't afford the Don Marco) - but they put us in the Marco (we were so happy and lucky) would go back if I could affordTitch

Have a look at the Riu Belplaya. On the beach with a bus stop nearby to take you into the town.

That is quite a walk to the shops etc....The Principe Hotel or Principito Apts ( both on the same complex ) are exellent Right on the beach but close enough to all the restaurants at the back of the hotel.....Bars etc all in this location also. The Italian Restaurant on the corner at the roundabout at the back entrance to the hotel is gorgeous...cant remember the name..Have a look at the Riu Belplaya. On the beach with a bus stop nearby to take you into the town.

Hello,
the first time we booked direct https://www.SolMelia.com and the second time we booked through Travel Republic - the Don Marco has a beautiful quiet pool on the first floor - which is gorgeous.Titch

i have stayed at the sol principe a few years ago and it was a brilliant hotel for a three star, my other half and i thought that it was better than some four stars that we have stayed in, the back of the hotel has a gate that takes you straight on to the promenarde or it is a short walk to the main entrance,
since we stayed the hotel has been going through a referb so it should be really nice now,
by the way the sol principe is torremolinos if you stay there i hope you enjoy it.0 -
Have a look on Tripadvisor.co.uk, they have lots of reviews on various hotels in Torremolinos.0

We went to the Don Marco a few years ago and were disappointed. I always book four star hotels and I chose this one as it had a bowling green for my husband but it turned out to be in full sun. I did not rate the food and found the staff indifferent. One night we chose our usual table but when we had finished our meal we felt uncomfortable. All the seats had been cleaned and were damp. It was a bit Monty Pythonish; evey time people stood up they were rubbing their rear ends and checking the seats. We did not get the room we wanted even though this was a private booking.
There is a hotel on the beach which has always been popular but I think they must have changed the name. I have always fancied the Aloha Puerto as there is an extra room. Sol Melia Hotels are good to book direct. They don't require a deposit and if you let them know 24 hrs before that you cannot go they charge for only one day's stay. If you do go to the Costal del Sol area the cab fares are cheapif you fancy one of the three Sol hotels that are close together. The Melia del Sol looks good too and handy for the beach.0
