Old o2 costumer
Hi,
I've been with o2 for about 5 years as a pay monthly costumer. Last year I changed to pay as you go simply because I was travelling around the world for a year and wanted to keep my number.
Now I'm back and after a new phone.
Is there any way I can ring them and try and get a better deal from them as I was a costumer? I would like the SE W995 on the Online 35 tarrif, but with inclusive data and unlimited o2-o2.

Phone them and ask?0

Yea fair enough, but I need to talk to the people who have the power to offer the good deals. When I had my contract I just phoned up and asked to be disconnected to get through to them, but how do I do that now?0

All the customer service numbers are listed here
Now if you simply want to keep your o2 number (if it is active still) - then you could get a contract direct with them via their web site - if you phone them, more likely they wont offer you any great reduction but treat you as a new customer.
Check out other retailers and find a contract on o2 (if you want to stay with them) or phone o2 get your PAC code and move to another provider (if you find one with a good deal).0 -

PS When you say you wanted to keep the number, did you keep it topped up? And is the phone still working on the network?
If it is not - then you have lost the number I suspect.
Yea, I put 20 quid in before I left and used it a few times when I was away to keep it active.
Thats what I suspected about being treated as a new costumer, I always enjoyed getting as much as I could out of them!
I would like to stay with them but the other networks seem to be offering more for the 30 Pounds mark. I need at least 600 mins and lots of data.
On a seperate not I just got a free upgrade from Hong Kong to London on BA, all for the price of a smile!

There are lots and lots of deals for you to choose from which are a lot cheaper than £30 a month - many of them are cashback ones though.
Just go to sites like dialaphone, phones4u to get an idea of what appeals to you.
o2 - they might want offer you decent deal but not necessarily - try their site https://www.o2.co.uk for the online shop to see what they offer new customers.

It's retentions who have the power to do the good deals. So if you have no contract to retain, you're not going to get anything out of them.No free lunch, and no free laptop

O2 haven't bothered with retentions for a few months now since they have the iPhone. Sorry!Kavanne
