can i ask how does everyone fill there pot??

as in just random coins found ....set amount each week.......only 10ps etc...

im planning ahead for the next one

    Hi alyssa_liss,

I have to admit that not a lot goes in my pot, but what does is just generally roadkill. I've tried all kinds of different methods of getting more in the pot but I just can't afford it. So I stick with what I can manage and what works best for me. Other people have different ways which work best for them, such as putting in money leftover at the end of the day, or grocery money left over from the end of the month, some have specific coins that go in. Basically do whatever you are most comfortable doing, the point is to enjoy it rather than it being a headache.:D

I put any spare change in (which only really tends to happen if I've been into town) or roadkill (once in a blue moon). Because of this, I can literally put £10+ in one day and then nothing for weeks so it's a bit sporadic!

£2.00 for me today please... got it back from something I tried with my housemates last week regarding the purchases of washing up liquid and bin bags, but they all ignored me so I've taken it back and put it straight into my pot! oh and 5 cents found yesterday!

Hi alyssa_liss, as the others have rightly been telling you, you put whatever you like in your pot/s, some have even added vouchers etc, but why not as it's still a way of saving money which ever way we look at it. Personally, I don't care what I put in mine..so long as I keep on saving!!! ;)

Good to hear you've kept up the savings Eltee12, well done n ya!

All the best for all the family to have a speedy recovery Jacki, we'll be thinking of them.

Like you Sue,I hope you never get to where you've been again, fingers crossed that you won't! I hope to soon be where you are - can't wait!!:D

More in the pot after shopping, a whole £2.43!!

Enjoy Tuesday all, keep safe and healthy!

I just looked back at my first post on this thread. I can't believe it was January!!! I haven't posted much on this thread but I have been putting odds and ends of change in my pot and I can't wait until we get to open them. I have decided that my target for next year is going to be anything more than what I have saved this year.
    Mortgage at 12/07/2022 = £175,000
    Mortgage today = £161,690.76
    300 271 payments to go.
    House buyout fund £21,000/£40,000
