Had to dip into my pot today as I really needed some money! I took a fiver out, and £2.02 has gone back in so not too bad I guess.

I gave up on this for a while, spent all of the decent money, etc etc... ooops.

I've made a new 'piggy' bank though - paper mache one - I love how it looks actually.. it's not actually a pig and it doesn't have legs hehe - so it just looks like newspaper. Then I made a label for it using letters out of newspapers and I really like how it looks.

I think there is about £13 in it, which is pretty rubbish considering I started this ages ago... naughty me spending it. It now really wont be opened until March though (unless needed VERY urgently type thing) for my trip to France in April :)

So can you update mine to be a target of £70 for March 2010 please :)

A £2 coin into the Puffin and 50p coin which I found in my running jacket pocket. :j

Got very excited last week while out running as I spotted a few coins on the ground. When I jogged back to pick them up they had actually melted into the tarmac and were stuck fast!

    Morning leader :hello:
How are you this fine autumn morning? Well I hope, I see we have more newbies wanting to join us :T, this time next year I bet we'll be closer to 1000 members on here :j
Enjoy today it's really nice, a good day for a walk :D

Fingers crossed for me and my darned PC as I did a whole reply last night and the cursor went ruddy haywire, dashing all over the place and even the page flying up and down! So, all I'd written to you sparks was......gone! I couldn't even do a flippin e-mail!!! So far, so good.

Any road sparky here we go. You had me looking for new members with the way you'd worded your post...as though they were still hanging about waiting for me to 'plug em in', but no! Any way, I'm fine thanks though poor DH has had a hell of a migraine the last couple of days, so I'm hoping things'll be better tomorrow. You could well be right about us getting up to a 1000 members next year, especially if this year's anything to go by, it's amazing!:j

stacy surely you didn't spend a whole £2 on chocolate and....EAT it???!!!

Oh dear JaneLiz, you really will need to gain some self-discipline or ask for some for Christmas! ;) If it's around £13 now then that's not too bad, but you still have chance to be cautious and SAVE much more between now and the 1st December!!! One theory about your pig....how d'you know it's not just lying down???? :p

Artnoon Stunty, hope all's well with you and Mrs S to be. Well done with yer pot.

Have a good Tuesday everyone, especially all those of you in Scotland! By 'eck they've suffered badly weather-wise since last winter! Keep saving well everyone.

    Sorry Sue,
I have a knack for confusing people, you had already plugged the newbie in, I was just making a comment, thats all, soz :p. Hope your DH is feeling better, my DW gets them and they aint nice. I'm off home in a mo, DW is on the opposite shift to me at the mo, so we're like ships passing in the night, so it's a glass of Italian falling down water for me :D, helps me sleep, don't ya know

So I'll say g'night, catch you tomorrow, look after you DH (and yourself of course) ;)

    Hi everyone,

dippykitty and Janeliz - don't worry about 'borrowing' from your pots, it is your money afterall, just keep on with the challenge and you'll at least have something by the target date, and "something is better than nothing".

Sue-UU, I hope your DH feels better soon, migraines can be very debilitating, my best wishes to him.

Sparky, well done on the amount put into your pots today, I hope the falling down water helps too.

    Stunty
, good to hear from you, short and sweet, but a pleasure still the same. I'm guessing you're a tired Stunty today.

Well done everybody for putting something in your pots and keeping on the challenge.

    Have a good one.

ps A nice fat juicy $2.00 coin in the pot for me today, at last!!
