  • moneys going to be a bit tight for a couple of weeks but i have £1.20 for eeyore today. my DS has started college and its mucked everything up with tax credits they have to recalculate because of the changes (even though im going to be getting exactly the same) so they havent paid anything to me this week. apparently my payments will start again next week. plus i work in a school kitchen so aug pay was alot less than normal. double wammy. never mind im going to go through the cupboards and plan meals for the next week so i dont need to buy anything i might check out some of the recipies on other threads to stretch things out aswell. i just keep thinking some people are alot worse of than me. i have money in my house fund if i get desperate and i have eeyore but im determined not to use either.

Ruby that just had to be someone else you're speaking about! :o You've seen what the others think as well mind. So pleased you're staying with us anyway! :kisses:

Hi and a warm welcome to the thread Bufger (note below) and niklepic, it's good to meet you both. Enjoy yourselves here while you enjoy putting the fun into saving. :D You'll find your numbers at the bottom of the list on post 2 of page 1. It's a good idea to put it on your signature and certainly helps me to help you at the end of the year. If you haven't already done so then read through posts 1 & 2 as it'll help you with any queries. Any other queries, just ask away!

Bufger I've put your target on along with your number and wish you well with your aim. Very well done indeed on quitting smoking!!:T You're doing the very best thing you ever could do as to do everything else in life you need the best of health that's possible. You're now on your way to getting it, saving money too!!! :jIf you need help or support or just need to say how you're feeling then come and see us on the "The Giving up Smoking Thread" here, you'll be very welcome.

BTW niklepic, clearing the floor or anywhere else of any hazardous items, or freeing pockets of things that would otherwise harm the washer is allowed (encouraged even!) as we most certainly encourage good housework here!

She has to Kerfuffle or she'd be dragging her jaw on the ground!! :o Sorry LC, didn't mean it! :undecided Have a look at Nyk's & Surfbabe's pigs etc by going to the link on the 1st page Kerfuffle, they're really good. LC made one too I think, right LC?

Ooh Helen, what a difference you ex's money would make, all the best for him paying up as life's hard enough as it is for you!

Hi LC, all the best for good news come Monday! Meanwhile....keep your chin up!!! :rotfl: Sorry LC, naughty again I know, but another time it was irresistible, never again though!

Good to see you MSFC, though sorry to hear of your problems. Lets hope things will soon be on the up and help make folk happier. You're being wise though and realising it's not just you, well done! :)

A good amount saved HowlinWolf, you too starnac! Don't forget folks, whatever you put in, it's all going to make the difference... and even if sometimes it's only a couple of p, it's better saved than spent!

Have a great weekend everyone and keep safe and keep saving! :D

    Hi everybody,

I've been having a look at the first thread at all the Paper Mache Pets and they are all truly awesome. I'm thinking my Peter Pot is a bit of a sad affair and I must try harder for the New Year. I'm thinking a Bear would be pretty cool, although I don't know if I would have the heart to break into him/her when the time comes.

Ruby - I'm soooo pleased you're sticking with us, you won't regret it, just keep posting and chatting cos we love hearing how people are doing.:j

Welcome newbies, I'm sure you're gonna have a great time on this thread, we're a happy bunch.:T

    Have a good weekend everybody.
