I used to use nivea visage years ago, then started using bodyshops vitamin e, which is good, but for some reason the other day i decided to try the nivea one again and its too dry for my skin, I've been using it for a few days now and each time i use it my skins felt tighter. Wish I hadnt bothered and just stuck to bodyshop  so i suppose the nivea visage is no good for my 'maturing skin' :rotfl:

Bio-Oil is supposed to even out un-even skin tone rather than just covering it upAccept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0 -

I do use it, but I need more than just that really.0 -
Benefit you rebel is good if you are slightly tanned or you rebel light if you are fair to medium. It is more expensive but lasts a long time as you only need a little bit. It leaves a lovely glow to your skin too. I would use this with a bit of concealer where needed. If you wanted something quicker i would try one of the mineral makeup foundations as they are really light on your skin but still give coverage when needed. There are lots of links if you do a serch on here for free samples to try i have tried a few and like everyday minerals the best.0

I'm also looking for a light effect foundation. I need to even out my skin a bit as my checks can be red and blotchy. I've tried Clarins samples and the colour is not a good match. I've used Clinique in the past (barely makeup I think) but it doesn't stay well and is costly. Any more recommendations? The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0

Try a mineral foundation - very easy to apply and build up more coverage where needed without looking caked
Do you know if you have rosacea?0 -

I've tried a mineral foundation & unfortunatly it irritated my skin and brought me out in spots. Actually put me off trying another brand.0

I personally find any liquid foundations will have me in spots and Bare Escentuals foundation will have me ripping my face off as it makes me itch
However reading the many mineral make up threads here and a bit of trial and error I have found a foundation that suits me - mineral
I have tried to go back to liquids but really cant get on with them, spots and soreness as well as the mask like effect.
Asking for advice here you are going to get so many recommendations, any of which could suit or have your face reacting - its trial and error all the way but a good starting point is asking for recommendations from people who have the same or similar skin type as yourself
As a type of tinted moisturiser Im using magix, the tinted one, from Avon. Gives me quite a good even skin tone and quite a nice finish. Its really a primer I think, although with it being tinted its enough to wear on its own0
