tinted moisturiser recommendations

Options
Can anyone recommend a cheap but effective tinted moisturiser? I've never worn foundation, but have noticed a few brown patches on my skin and I want to cover them.

Tinted moisturiser will not cover your sun or age spots. You need concealer for that.
Tinted moisturiser is just that, moisturiser with a little tint.

I do use concealer, but I think I need something to even out the skin tone.
  • I use number 7 tinted moisturiser, it's the only one I've tried so nothing to compare it to but I think it's quite good. HTH!

I've tried a few. The Nivea one made me look a bit orange, and the Boots Natural Collection one wsa really hard to rub in, and looked like I had nothing on my face.

I like the Tesco Skin Wisdom one - it's £4.88 or so.

I think no 7 is great, used to use it all the time as their light is good for very fair skin. Would still be using it now if I wasn't so spotty.

Look online at Go cosmetics tinted moisturiser. There one is fab. They occasionally have it on Ideal world. It gives good coverage & is not orangey. I love it.
  • No 7 do a few different types don't they?

I haven't got particularly fair skin anymore, I use a light medium concealer & I think a medium tint would be ok. I think light or fair would look un-natural on my skin especially since it's quite uneven.

Vichy do a fantastic one, sold mainly in chemists. Its called lumineuse (sp?) and is used by a wedding makeup artist (who I got the rec from). It gets pretty good reviews on makeupalley too

Its has good coverage for a tinted moisturiser, but is really light and radiant. Around £11 but well worth the investment, as a little goes a long way, and it has excellent staying power

The best one I've found is Boots Botanics. It gives a light, natural finish and costs well under £5!
