The item is listed in a section where free P&P is a must - ebay have enforced it in certain catagories for some reason, so you are not allowed to charge P&P even if you want to add it at the end.
This guy is saying he will add P&P at the end of the auction via the invoice, however he is not allowed to do this.

Because of people listing stuff really cheaply, but with inflated P+P costs. It's oficially because if a buyer has to return something, the seller can say they only get the item cost back, not the P+P cost as well. Unofficially, ebay don't get a percentage of the P+P paid, so they brought it in to increase their revenue.

the seller has listed an item
tucked at the bottom they have made a vague reference to postage
not quite a transparent listing wouldnt you say?

This explains how I came unstuck a while back. I listed some pin badges for 0.01 with worldwide delivery and intended to charge postage but the listing showed free p&p. Needless to say I only got one bid - from Australia! As a new seller I assumed it was a listing error on my part and (politely) invoiced the buyer for postage.

He was so obnoxious in pointing out the mistake I posted the item without payment but surface!:p

Ebay werent particularly helpful in resolving the dispute so ended up with a neg for my trouble but it was almost worth it.

Has put me off selling for a bit however.:o
