Best phone for internet on a T-mobile contract?

I am currently on PAYG with t-mobile.

Very low text useage and basically zero call minutes.

I am however a heavy internet user (not on my phone as it doesn't have the capability) and am considering going to a contract but want the best internet useage phone possible for when I'm surgically detached kicking and screaming from my PC/lappy.

Camera with it would be good, not bothered if it has music player/radio on it or not.

Currently only paying just over £5 a month on PAYG so know it will be a price increase for me but wondered what was recommended as I've never really been into the 'phone' thing.

Any thoughts would be useful :D

how much do you intend to use internet each day? What kind of stuff on the internet? Just emailing, facebook etc or fully browsing lots of websites?

use would vary but perhaps up to an hour a day (maximum) - more if I were on holiday.

It would be for email, facebook, ebay, google, bbc plus 2 or 3 others.........and of course MSE :D

Probably not full on browsing for loads of sites.

well you barely use your phone so i really dont want to recommend a contract.

However you want an internet phone which usually costs a fair amount if you want a 'proper' internet phone where can you surf easily and see a lot on the phone screen.

A contract with low mins and texts with internet is going to be around £20 and I don't think you will get much value for money with it, if you only spend £5 a month on PAYG.

I suggest you fork out for a nice PAYG handset and then continue the low payments each month.

I had a quick look on hotukdeals.com and saw prepaymania selling the Nokia 5800 for [STRIKE]£180[/STRIKE] £150 on T-Mobile repay. The same phone directly from T-Mobile is £244. There are cheaper or more expensive internet phones to suit your needs, this is an example.

If your internet usuage is low then your prepay charges wont increase i.e. still no need to get a contract. If they creep up past your comfort you can buy boosters with any network to give you fixed cover e.g t-mobile does 5 days internet for £2.50 - good if you are on holiday (in UK).

Finally if you take the plunge and it all goes out of control with cost (which I doubt), you can always buy a phoneless contract with a network and continue to get savings with your new phone payg. I think this is the best approach, starting with a PAYG handset with internet.

    Good luck.
