No, System Restore simply reverts your system files to the state they were in on the date you chose to restore to. Your data files should remain exactly as before.
I think you are confusing it with Factory Restore, which wipes your data files and gives you a clean system 'as new'.No free lunch, and no free laptop

If you still have the Factory Restore disks that came with the PC, then you can just wipe the whole PC and start again with a fresh install of Windows. When selling a PC it is safer to do this anyway to avoid any of your personal data being left on there.0

i have updated driver to get me sound on the internal speakers
i have rolled back driver, i have done everything but the speakers still wont work
it says they are working grrrr

Speakers have nothing whatsoever to do with your sound output; the system cannot help you fix them, as they aren't really a part of the computer. Assuming they're receiving power and are correctly connected, there's almost certainly nothing to be done.it says they are working grrrr
Incidentally, even if you don't have the original discs there may still be a way to restore the system to its original state. Do you know who built it?0
