Hi Andy
If he is not going to charge you anything at all then that is fine, but if you want to do this yourself its up to you.;)
If your mate gives you anything to sign then as you know read everything through before-hand.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
Hey peeps,
Just an update, I received another letter yesterday dated 06/10 apologising for the delay in getting back to me but they are requesting additional information in order to deal with the complaint.
Sounds to me like theyre super busy with these kind of complaints or are just wasting time. I mean it really SHOULDNT take this long to sort it, but i guess by sending me a letter they are keeping the communication going within the timescales set by the ombudsman(men, Mon) whatever :P0 -

Hi Andy
Was this a Questionnaire? (for the request of further information)
If so this seems to be a new one now that all banks are sending out.
Good luck though and hope you hear soon, and remember just as long as the 8 weeks have passed - your still entitled to move on to the FOS.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
No its not a questionaire, its just a letter saying they have requested some, so maybe from sainsburys ie voice recordings or something, im not sure who theyve asked, it certainly aint me :P0

I take it that this wouldnt have any negative effect on my progress with BoS?0 -

Hey all, Good news!
I rcvd a letter today stating ' i have decided to pay you an ammount which will put you back in the position you would have been in had you not taken the insurance. This is done without admission of liability and in full and final settlement of your complaint...'
So a result in the end, but I do query the wording they have used. i would have expected them to say 'full ammount of the insurance' but it seems they have used different terminology. Does this mean that they are going to offer me less than the total insurance they charged do you think??
