This Challenge sounds simple enough doesn't it, but when it comes to making it work--a whole different story! I have found it is a massive help to highlight where the money goes, particularly if like me, you deal mostly in cash. How many times have you drawn £50 from the hole-in-the-wall on a Tuesday lunch-time to still end up with empty pockets by Friday morning & absolutely nothing to show for it  It's the odd snack here & stamp for Great Aunt Ethel's birthday card there that fails to register as money being SPENT :o
The grey areas are those like p&p SIZE=1]or vet's bills hopefully covered by insurance for me :([/SIZE that are harder to identify I suppose, but if you're not actually out-of-pocket then I'm inclined to count them as a non-spend spend :D Same with things like emergency dental work or prescription charges..you can't plan everything & providing that's all I'm paying out for, then again--I personally--would count it as an NSD.
Let's remember too folks, that this thread is ultimately just for FUN. There is no-one here to point an accusing finger or lay blame, so please just relax & enjoy looking at new ways to save some dosh. As Daffy has said with the petrol, there's things I've discovered about my spending habits that have made me think again about where &--more importantly--when I spend, so hopefully you will too. I used to think about filling up while doing the food shop but if the queues were too long I'd leave it, only to ruin a perfectly good NSD by having to get some the next day :doh:Well--gotta get some choowie too aint'cha
Like I said--your rules, your conscience...Whatever you decide to in/exclude, it has to work for YOU so the Very Best of Luck in completing your mission! PipPipChaps!

  • Thanks to BigMummaF for the advice - given that I will exclude the already paid ebay postage and count yesterday as my first NSD - wooh!:j

I have subscribed to several threads. Is there something that I can click on that will display all these threads in one place? ;)
