just had a big catch up. lots going on. haven't been on here a while as been having family problems. still paying off debts though. moved some money around yesterday and managed to pay £730 off c/c leaving a balance of £465 on it which i want paid off by the end of the month.

    how is everybody??

    Hi Starnac,

Hope you are okay. You know where we are if you need to vent about anything. Well done on the payment - that is massive :)

I am grand - no real payments to make so being unusually quiet :) Starting to think about how we can really make a dent in our mortgage once we have the loan paid off. We will have another £270 per month minimum to shove at the mortgage so it should reduce the term by a fair bit.

I am 39 weeks on Friday. Have to go for a growth scan on Thursday but am going in with a positive frame of mind. Baby is as active as ever but no signs of it coming yet!!!

It's really good to see you on here.

39 weeks!! you must be so excited. i wouldn't worry too much about the growth scan. you just said yourself that baby is active and they wouldn't make you wait til thursday if they thought there was anything wrong.

you say no signs of baby coming yet. don't want to be the bearer of bad news but DD was engaged for nearly 2 weeks before she made an appearance (10 days overdue as well) sorry x

thanks for the offer to vent but it's nothing like that. MIL is quite ill and we're finding out today exactly how serious it is

is it possible that bubs has just reached his optimum size? I dont really know how it works, but i figure thats an optimum size that a baby can grow to given the space they are in .......

Really hope all is okay with your MIL & things aren't serious.

Am expecting an overdue baby :) My Mum is coming over when I am 3 days overdue for about 3 weeks so am hoping to spend a bit of time with her before the baby is born anyway so am happy for it to hang on. I don't even feel like my baby is engaged yet!

I don't think so - they should be still growing and for the bump to have come to a standstill since 35 weeks is not what they want to be seeing. There could be 2 things - 1 is that the baby is in a compact position and has dropped down low so the bump isn't measuring right. The 2nd is that the baby is not really growing due to one reason or another. If that is the case they will probably induce as the baby is better off getting my milk than restricted food. When I went for the re-scan a few weeks ago all was well with the growth and fluid so I am remaining positive about the whole thing.

I'm sure you will remain all bump! I have stayed all bump with no extra weight and have no troubles walking or sleeping. I don't feel awkward either. It's great!

MIL has bowel cancer and was told she needed her whole bowel removed or she wouldn't make it. she went in for the op yesterday and they've only removed part of her bowel not the whole thing. i'm hoping that's a good sign but i can't be certain. she sees the doctor today and FIL will ring us later to let us know what he said.

ps you'll know when baby is engaged. it's quite uncomfortable!

I really hope that it is good news for all of you.

Not feeling uncomfortable yet so that baby must be chilling out and defo won't be wanting to come out anytime soon. I was 10 days late myself, OH was 6 weeks early!
