Hi everyone
Numpty - you're probably right, they're not organised enough to play any sort of game:mad:. We can't have you getting any detentions now, so you'll have plenty of encouragement (aka nagging) to do your homework at the weekend - and don't think you can hide from us either:D:D.
Nargle - good news about time off. Tixy's right - housework can wait, put your feet up and take it easy for a bit. Good luck with the paperwork and budget.

You just beat me to it Spoon!
Sorry for my conspicuous absence when we are so short-staffed at the moment! Spent day with pregnant friend who is having a horrendous pregnancy and has well and truly terrified me
. We are thinking we should send her around the schools (altough she can hardly walk).

Good morning everyone and thanks for good wishes re IVA budget. I was originally in a DMP, and so was OH (both having been financially irresponsible and solely to blame for the deterioration in society today as well as the rest of you debtors on here!;):D:p)
Then OH got fed up of all creditors hassling him - he was about 10 months further on in his DMP than I was in mine, and the hassle was wearing him down. He then looked into an IVA and persuaded me that we should go in for a jointly managed one - I had my doubts and reservations at first but after long talks with the good folks at CCCSVA agreed.
So far it has gone ok - budget tight but at least we have a date in the not too distant future where we will be debt free. We will have paid off a substantial amount of our debts (not quite all but our creditors would get booger all by chasing for bankruptcy , and DMPs would take over a decade to finish) and I can plan to get some extra money paid off the mortgage before our fixed rate deal ends in 2020. So there is a game plan, and hopefully it will come to fruition.
Hope those of you in debt are coping ok with your chosen method of repayment - I gnash my teeth when I see how much goes out of my monthly wage in debt repayments, but I have to take some of the blame for my financial shambles and get on with it, as we all do.
Have a good day everyone.One life - your life - live it!0 -
BUMP and good morning all
I knew you were on an IVA Nargle, and knowing what a smart lady you are I knew you'd have done lots of research and made the right decision for you.
Sometimes I think I'm only playing at being a DFW, I do want to be debt free but I've chosen to take a slower route than some and allow myself a bit more in treats and luxuries than some do. Still everyone has to do it in their own way I think.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -
Hi everybody.
Over the last few weeks we have had a number of "troll" attacks on the boards.
What is a Troll? A troll is a person that posts deliberately provocative, nasty or hurtful comments on threads. They may be a person with no previous connection to the board or someone that has created a pseudonym to get their point made.
If you should get a comment made on any thread you post asking for help and advice please realise this comment is not directed at you personally.
We really are all a lovely bunch here (oops, modest, sorry) so please ignore these nasty comments and continue to post here as normal.
what should i do if i get a comment made on my thread?
firstly do not respond to the comment as this invariably is what the person wants. At the bottom of the post, on the left hand side is a red "warning" triangle. Click this and then "send" the message that comes up. This will report the message to abuse who will review it's content and delete it.
The person we had this morning was particularly vile and nasty and please believe me is an extreme rarity here.
Above all PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE THE BOARDS. THIS SITE IS AN ASSET TO SO MANY, ESPECIALLY WHEN IT FEELS THE WORLD IS FALLING IN ON YOU. THERE IS SUCH A WEALTH OF ADVICE HERE TO BE HAD THAT THE COMMENTS OF ONE MUST NOT DETER YOU FROM AVAILING YOURSELF OF THE KNOWLEDGE HERE!!!!
It is testament to the work that martin has done and continues to do that so many people give their time knowledge and experience freely to others, without judgement, to lift people out of the depths of debt crisis
PLEASE DO NOT LET THE ACTIONS OF THE MINORITY RUIN THAT.
Kind wishes
P
Hello to all old and young, old and new. Especially for the newbies - please read the message above, the vast majority of people here want to help and offer advice to you. The very small minority who don't are trolls and should have rocks thrown at them. Please don't be put off by them.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0
