Good morning everyone, hope you are all well on a Friday (and Numpty, hope you're not trying to stick pins in your eyeballs by now, two days off after today:D)I do want to be debt free but I've chosen to take a slower route than some and allow myself a bit more in treats and luxuries than some do. Still everyone has to do it in their own way I think.
Good luck to everyone on their debt-free trek, doesn't matter how we do it as long as we get there in the end:).
Ooh, that was a bit longer than I was intending, only popped in for a quick BUMP... back laterThe time you enjoy wasting is not wasted time

I've decided we need a Friday bump over here, so here it is

Have a good day everyone.
I do exactly the sam Nargle! That's why my entire flat has been interiorly designed - but so far, only in my head (apart for the time the horrid kitchen salesman hit on my vulnerable side! at my stupidity! But it's now cancelled and I hope I've learned yet another lesson!)solventsoon wrote: »Me too, Tixy, I need to have some treats otherwise I'll never get there. I need to stop wasting money, which is why I find both the NSD thread and Lula's clothes challenge good, I get some motivation there and have managed to pay back a fair bit since I started them. I have some way to go yet, but I'll get there in my own way:D.

Here here! Not formally on the NSD yet, working up to it! But Lula's clothes challenge and the book challenge are invaluable!
The treat I allow myself is the hairdressers! I r!!!!on many folks on here would chastise me for letting the hairdresser dye my hair - but it's such a treat and my pamper time. You do need those things to help keep you on the straight and narrow, don't you? But you're right Tixy, you need to find your own way of doing it. And if there's a game plan, it does make it easier!solventsoon wrote: »I've decided we need a Friday bump over here, so here it is

Enough with philosophy Nic! It's Friday, dance like there's no-one watching!
Oh yes - and bump!
Newbies - we might be mad but we are mostly lovely and helpful. Some-time we are blunt but we are well-intentioned. If any-one is down right nasty, then they are an evil troll and will be dealt with with the utmost severity!
Numpty and Tixy are expert troll-busters... I'm generally a bit slower off the mark but give great virtual hugs! Solvent Soon has an excellent library of dancing bears and the such to make you smile and Nargle does an excellent line in virtual breakfasts!
Keep lurking and don't be afraid to post whe the time comes.

Yikes! That was a bit epic and profound for a Friday! I need to go dance in the sun, eat a crucnchie and post my mum her Mother's day Let's Knit magazines (which are actually my cast-offs (excuse the pun!). Shhh, don't tell her. She'll never guess 'cos I can't actually knit!).
Oh, and is it bad form to highlight the page with the jumper pattern I would like her to knit for me?Jan10: 28,315.81 Jan11: 18,015.32 Jan12: 7,682.58 Jan13: 2,987.73 Current debt: 1,225.55

Well done Nic on choosing a very MSE Mother's Day gift (your old knitting mags!) - why not, if they are in good nick?
Virtual lunch today is home made dustbin soup (from various bits of leftover veggies simmered in ham stock and liquidised, then served with cheese on toast on the side ) and a cup of Douwe Egberts coffee made using a free sample I got in Sainsburys April magazine. Dinner today will be home made fishcakes using leftover mashed spuds and tinned salmon, served with home made chips and a little salad garnish, followed by home made rice pud because I had half a carton of milk in the fridge that was about to go off if I didn't do anything with it!
Good afternoon all! Oh, and quick joke for you - what is green and red and spins at 90 miles an hour? A troll in a liquidiser. One life - your life - live it!0 -

Whats that about then?? has eck become a swear word??, poor yorkshire lads like numpty will have a job getting past the filter :rotfl:
Actually I'm with you on the hair nicca. No way could I dye my own hair - i do have 3 or 4 colours though - although this handily lends itself to not looking too bad when the roots show, however I have cut down and have it coloured once less a year than I used to (and cut twice less).
Mmmm cheese on toast sounds nice - I always want what other people on this thread are having.
My mum is getting daffodils (if I can find any UK ones that is, they are super late this year cos of the bad weather) - if not she can have potted tete a tete.
Afternoon all.
Liquidised troll - I'd feed that to my dog. No maybe my neighbours dog that barks too much.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -
Afternoon all
Nargle - thanks for the inspiration for tea tonight - I have some cold salmon left and I was wondering what to do with it, it will now become fishcakes:j.
Love the troll joke :rotfl:
Tixy and nic - I'm with you on the hairdresser bit, I too have about 3-4 colours in my hair and wouldn't attempt to do that on my own, so that's one of my treats and I won't be persuaded otherwise:D
Nearly weekend time, so let's have a Friday dance again:)The time you enjoy wasting is not wasted time
