Yes Numpty, I managed to move sufficiently to sort out chickens, ferry DS to martial arts class and back, do his packed lunch rolls for the week, bake two lots of cakes, sort out lunch for myself and OH, dinner for the three of us, wash and dry a load of stuff, empty out and refill cat litter tray, fence off part of garden to provide a chicken run....and watch an episode of Come Dine With Me. After that lot I think I deserve some chill-out time so have come on here to help solvent in the bumpathon.....One life - your life - live it!0

Come to think of it, I have had so much energy today I should have two breakfasts more often! One life - your life - live it!0

:rotfl:I mean't I lived in Yorkshire too like Numpty.
I used to live in Glasgow too, worked in West George Street. My daughter was born in Rottenrow.
I'm from neither, I'm from Lancashire:D
Radio 1 DJ? I'm far too old to listen to Radio 1, its all noise!
I lived on Rottenrow East when I first moved to Glasgow (great street name when you're feeling home-sick!! I'm originally from the Borders). The maternity hospital has now been knocked down, though they kept the original doorway I think, and it's now a lovely big, memorial garden area. Very pretty (if you catch a day it's not raining :rotfl:)Nargleblast wrote: »Come to think of it, I have had so much energy today I should have two breakfasts more often!. Evening All
Welcome to the trollbusters Washer
I too had two breakfasts this morning - well you gotta have as much as you can fit in when its in a hotel and paid for.
No fry up for me - I has cereal and croissants and pancakes and fruit and yoghurt and other things - hmmm maybe that was more than 2 breakfasts then, still it did keep 'hunger locked up until lunchtime'.
Now I am enjoying a small bar of montezuma's chocolate -the best chocolate in the worldA smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -

New page, so another one of theseHi everybody.
Over the last few weeks we have had a number of "troll" attacks on the boards.
What is a Troll? A troll is a person that posts deliberately provocative, nasty or hurtful comments on threads. They may be a person with no previous connection to the board or someone that has created a pseudonym to get their point made.
If you should get a comment made on any thread you post asking for help and advice please realise this comment is not directed at you personally.
We really are all a lovely bunch here (oops, modest, sorry) so please ignore these nasty comments and continue to post here as normal.
what should i do if i get a comment made on my thread?
firstly do not respond to the comment as this invariably is what the person wants. At the bottom of the post, on the left hand side is a red "warning" triangle. Click this and then "send" the message that comes up. This will report the message to abuse who will review it's content and delete it.
The person we had this morning was particularly vile and nasty and please believe me is an extreme rarity here.
Above all PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE THE BOARDS. THIS SITE IS AN ASSET TO SO MANY, ESPECIALLY WHEN IT FEELS THE WORLD IS FALLING IN ON YOU. THERE IS SUCH A WEALTH OF ADVICE HERE TO BE HAD THAT THE COMMENTS OF ONE MUST NOT DETER YOU FROM AVAILING YOURSELF OF THE KNOWLEDGE HERE!!!!
It is testament to the work that martin has done and continues to do that so many people give their time knowledge and experience freely to others, without judgement, to lift people out of the depths of debt crisis
PLEASE DO NOT LET THE ACTIONS OF THE MINORITY RUIN THAT.
Kind wishes
P
