I agree with Tixy, Numpty - grated cheese definitely! It goes further than lumps or slices so very MSE. It tastes nicer, and if you can chuck in a bit of finely sliced onion as well you will have manna from heaven. Especially with a pack of Walkers cheese and onion crsips, or a tube of sour cream and onion Pringles....we will make a gourmet of you yet!One life - your life - live it!0

Yep, got all my ironing done, Tixy, thanks and feeling very smug now:D Actually, it's only the second or third lot I've done in 2010, so not far behind youNumpty_Monkey wrote: »I'got rid of my old washer (freegle:A)

Grated, Numpty, definitely, it tastes much better and with some chopped onion in, is absolutely delicious. Ahhh, just seen that Nargle has recommended the same - oh well, must be good then. Hope the course goes OK.

Well, solvent, it is either "great minds think alike" or "fools seldom differ" - but when you are talking about grated cheese and onion sarnies, there's no contest! Grated cheese, that is, not the sarnie! Although that is not as daft as it sounds. I once met a bloke who, due to cancer, could not eat normally so had to have his food liquidised and supplemented by a liquid feed into a tube going into his stomach. He used to chuck a cheese sandwich and a cup of tea into a blender, blend it into a mush, then inject it into his feeding tube. After a while he would then regurgitate it so he could have the taste of a cheese sandwich and a cup of tea in his mouth again like the old days! Revolting, I know, but true - and it makes you feel grateful for being in normal health. And on that repulsive note -goodnight all!One life - your life - live it!0 -
Nargle, as far as cheese and onion sandwiches are concerned, it's definitely great minds
.
As for the bloke with cancer, hearing that puts everything else into perspective.

We seem to have another new page, so let's have another reminder of why we spend our time bumping this thread all day long.Hi everybody.
Over the last few weeks we have had a number of "troll" attacks on the boards.
What is a Troll? A troll is a person that posts deliberately provocative, nasty or hurtful comments on threads. They may be a person with no previous connection to the board or someone that has created a pseudonym to get their point made.
If you should get a comment made on any thread you post asking for help and advice please realise this comment is not directed at you personally.
We really are all a lovely bunch here (oops, modest, sorry) so please ignore these nasty comments and continue to post here as normal.
what should i do if i get a comment made on my thread?
firstly do not respond to the comment as this invariably is what the person wants. At the bottom of the post, on the left hand side is a red "warning" triangle. Click this and then "send" the message that comes up. This will report the message to abuse who will review it's content and delete it.
The person we had this morning was particularly vile and nasty and please believe me is an extreme rarity here.
Above all PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE THE BOARDS. THIS SITE IS AN ASSET TO SO MANY, ESPECIALLY WHEN IT FEELS THE WORLD IS FALLING IN ON YOU. THERE IS SUCH A WEALTH OF ADVICE HERE TO BE HAD THAT THE COMMENTS OF ONE MUST NOT DETER YOU FROM AVAILING YOURSELF OF THE KNOWLEDGE HERE!!!!
It is testament to the work that martin has done and continues to do that so many people give their time knowledge and experience freely to others, without judgement, to lift people out of the depths of debt crisis
PLEASE DO NOT LET THE ACTIONS OF THE MINORITY RUIN THAT.
Kind wishes
P
Hello :wave:and welcome to any newbies out there trying to pluck up courage to post. You're in the right place for lots of advice and support. Please read the message above and try to ignore any deliberately hurtful posts. Trolls thrive on attention, so the best thing you can do is ignore them, though it is sometimes difficult to do so. Good luck on your journey to being debt-free.The time you enjoy wasting is not wasted time
