Well driving over to my folks I did do a rather splendid spin in the snow, doing a complete 180 and ended up facing up the hill. As I slid round out of control with the dog in the boot I thought I was going to swipe the front of the car coming up the hill with the back of my car and injure cars, dog and myself. By chance the car coming up the hill was my Dad who saw what was happening and reversed out of my way!

Still I'm alright now. How are you today SS

Just a normal bit of driving then:p

    Glad your ok:T

I've had a fun time with washers and fridges and going from one side of the city to tother
but the driver did well :T only a few minor skids

Now I've a problem with the washer, the waste water pipe don't fit on the fixing for my waste outlet thingy (confussed smiley)
Probably should ask on DIY board
and I ripped the flooring up try to shove it in the hole:o

Afternoon all, lovely snowy day today. Am full of roast chicken and fruit crumble (not the resident chickens I hasten to add, they are still chuntering out there in the snow).

Ooh, Tixy, sounds nasty - lucky it was your Dad coming the other way. I'm fine today, thanks, my day has been somewhat less eventful than yours.

Numpty - think you should definitely ask on the DIY board. Think we're going to be doing some sliding here tomorrow as well, snow's been thawing all day, so lots of water everywhere, now it's freezing so we'll have black ice everywhere tomorrow

Nargle - roast chicken is what I'm having in about an hour, looking forward to it... glad the ladies are OK and enjoying the snow :)

Hope everyone else is well - good luck with your appointment tomorrow Horace and, yes, there are delays at Manchester airport today, wrong type of snow apparently :rotfl::rotfl:

Numpty don't you go wrecking the house in your quest to fit the washing machine, someone will come up with a solution (hopefully one that doesn't involve floorboards being lifted).

Set off in plenty of time for your appointment H, don't want you rushing and falling and bumping your behind again.

Mmm crumble sounds tasty, I've made cornflake cakes today -regressing to childhood!

I often wonder what the right type of snow is?

Remember nicca - no impulsive purchases (or at least make them teeny tiny ones). Have a good weekend.

Spent only the cost of a few bottles of beer (and would have spent nothing at all if I had ever acquired a taste for wine!)

Spent most of the weekend in the garden, on the trampoline with the 4 year old (It hasn't been snowing here!) Now absolutely shattered! He was still full of energy when I left though!!!

Me too Tixy, along with the right type of leaves, the right type of rain - our transport systems don't see to like any sort of weather at all. After all, on the odd occasions that we have a warm spell in this country, the tarmac melts :eek:

Off now to enjoy my roast chicken, back later no doubt stuffed to the gills :rotfl::rotfl:

Well done on not spending a fortune, nicca. Not surprised you're shattered!! but hope you had a great time anyway :D:D
