So, Numpty's a monkey, Tixy's a bear, Solvent's a Tigger, Nic's a heffalump, MF's some obscure Chinese graphic? - me, I'm just two fried eggs on a plate. Now that is weird. Still, it's off the wall and that's why I like it. Have a good night everyone!

And Horace is a ship (even though Horace is named after a car?)

I always sort of assumed that it stands for MF or his first name? Well you are sort of animal based Nargle, even if you are 2 chicks that might have been :D, Although if they are eggs from your hens I'm right in thinking they couldn't have ever been as I don't think you have a cockrel?

I watched a program that had bagpuss on today - I used to love bagpuss.

MF loving your monkey and elly!

True, Tixy, no cockerels in this residence, wouldn't go down too well with the neighbours, all that crowing at 4am....I didn't know that chickens could lay eggs without the presence of the male of the species, so that was an eye-opener for me. Plus the discovery that a chicken is a weapon of mass destruction in a garden, and a weapon of mess distribution when it comes to their excreting habits! The eggs are nice though, and the two girls are very entertaining creatures.

Bagpuss? Never watched it, but I understand it is a bit of a cult thing.

Horace isnt a ship - Horace is a straw for drinking milk (or is that a humphrey?)

I watched a fabby programme on BBC4 tonight all about the tv programme Skippy the bush kangaroo...I used to love it.

I think the skippy programme was on after the bagpuss one (which also featured the clangers and ivor the engine but I don't really remember them (must be too young I think!:D)

    Hi everybody.

Over the last few weeks we have had a number of "troll" attacks on the boards.

What is a Troll? A troll is a person that posts deliberately provocative, nasty or hurtful comments on threads. They may be a person with no previous connection to the board or someone that has created a pseudonym to get their point made.

If you should get a comment made on any thread you post asking for help and advice please realise this comment is not directed at you personally.
We really are all a lovely bunch here (oops, modest, sorry) so please ignore these nasty comments and continue to post here as normal.

what should i do if i get a comment made on my thread?

firstly do not respond to the comment as this invariably is what the person wants. At the bottom of the post, on the left hand side is a red "warning" triangle. Click this and then "send" the message that comes up. This will report the message to abuse who will review it's content and delete it.

The person we had this morning was particularly vile and nasty and please believe me is an extreme rarity here.
Above all PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE THE BOARDS. THIS SITE IS AN ASSET TO SO MANY, ESPECIALLY WHEN IT FEELS THE WORLD IS FALLING IN ON YOU. THERE IS SUCH A WEALTH OF ADVICE HERE TO BE HAD THAT THE COMMENTS OF ONE MUST NOT DETER YOU FROM AVAILING YOURSELF OF THE KNOWLEDGE HERE!!!!

It is testament to the work that martin has done and continues to do that so many people give their time knowledge and experience freely to others, without judgement, to lift people out of the depths of debt crisis

PLEASE DO NOT LET THE ACTIONS OF THE MINORITY RUIN THAT.

    Kind wishes
    P
