    Hi everybody.

Over the last few weeks we have had a number of "troll" attacks on the boards.

What is a Troll? A troll is a person that posts deliberately provocative, nasty or hurtful comments on threads. They may be a person with no previous connection to the board or someone that has created a pseudonym to get their point made.

If you should get a comment made on any thread you post asking for help and advice please realise this comment is not directed at you personally.
We really are all a lovely bunch here (oops, modest, sorry) so please ignore these nasty comments and continue to post here as normal.

what should i do if i get a comment made on my thread?

firstly do not respond to the comment as this invariably is what the person wants. At the bottom of the post, on the left hand side is a red "warning" triangle. Click this and then "send" the message that comes up. This will report the message to abuse who will review it's content and delete it.

The person we had this morning was particularly vile and nasty and please believe me is an extreme rarity here.
Above all PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE THE BOARDS. THIS SITE IS AN ASSET TO SO MANY, ESPECIALLY WHEN IT FEELS THE WORLD IS FALLING IN ON YOU. THERE IS SUCH A WEALTH OF ADVICE HERE TO BE HAD THAT THE COMMENTS OF ONE MUST NOT DETER YOU FROM AVAILING YOURSELF OF THE KNOWLEDGE HERE!!!!

It is testament to the work that martin has done and continues to do that so many people give their time knowledge and experience freely to others, without judgement, to lift people out of the depths of debt crisis

PLEASE DO NOT LET THE ACTIONS OF THE MINORITY RUIN THAT.

    Kind wishes
    P

Bathroom is shiny and sparkly - if smelling a little of vinegar at the moment! Floors on hold until I post on OS board for more info :p

Numpty - did you take heed of the v cheap hayfever tablets on Martin's email this week? Got myself 3 months supply for the pricely sum of £3.10 :D If you missed that one, keep your eyes peeled (whenever they are not streaming!) and a teeny layer of vaseline around nostrils to trap those paky pollens! (There's not much I haven't tried - although my sinuses are my arch enemy )

Sounds very familiar *rolls eyes* Those GP's sure do like to stick together! Numerous people have recommended accupuncture or cranial osteopathy to me (neither of which I have yet taken up - my sig probably gives away the reasons behind those decisons :o) So in the meantime I hpe good old cetirizine hydrochloride keeps the worst at bay - but I do need to take them all year round. Sigh.

Mind, cleaning flat with vinegar has cleared my nose somewhat :D

    Thanks Numpty, you're a duck!

I was going to say something on the lines of the over the counter anti histamines being good for any allergy not just hayfever, but I believe there is a rule on here about not posting anything that could be interpreted as medical advice, so I won't.;)

I've had the same response for years Numpty, given up now and kind of learned to live with it. Can't go out of the house without a box of tissues though..... it's a real pain in the ****

But ithought she was a monkey? *confused* :p

SS - it's a nightmare! I have also given up! Had to argue with my doc that I had a sinus infection a few weeks ago; she hadn't asked me anything or looked anywhere near my sinuses. Just said she suffered from it too! Had to bite my tongue to stop me from saying I didn't really care about her (I suspect she might have been doing exactly the same though! :D)

A just before Skating on Ice bump :)
