    Nope I'm still poor:rolleyes:

Haven't checked my 'lucky dip' yet. I only bought it after reading your post, numpty. I was kind of hoping that some of your luck might 'rub off' onto me. :rotfl:

Good morning everybody :hello: :hello: :hello:

  • Bah! Just checked my numbers because of this thread. One. One is not enough :(

Never mind, I have a load of eBay parcels to post from the last free listing day. Not millions, but another couple of bricks in the house fund :)

Solvent - yes, if you give me the money plus a bit extra to treat myself.....

Tixy - no, original Christmas pud still on the shelf with all the festive goodies but it looks so lonely I just thought......

PPP - that's about 0.001% of your downstairs toilet paid for, then.

Have a good afternoon one and all - on night shift tonight so probably see you at silly o clock......(Numpty prepares huge vat of triple strength coffee so he can get in first with his good morning bump)

Afternoon all - I have been a bit busy today - had to go to the post office to pick up a parcel that they tried to deliver on 12 November - the postman laughed at my nickname on the box - flashwombat:cool: It was a box from Bzzagent containing 1 large tube of that new colgate sensitive toothpaste that is advertised on the tv and 10 sample tubes each with 50p vouchers attached. Had a bit of a ding dong in HSBC as I went to pick up my debit card - apparently I was supposed to take my passport with me (it never said that on the letter), so I emptied my purse of all my cards, handed over my paying in book for first direct, the paying in book for my business, my chequebook, my purse with all my cards in including Amex and and a handful of business cards and then asked if them if that was enough identification or did they want more? Because I bank with First Direct - I then had to answer some questions about how much money I had paid into the account on Monday (I was even served by the same teller who remembered me as well for gawd's sake), how much money did I draw from the cashpoint, who pays £50.85 into my account each week? which shop did I use my debit card in on Monday so I said that I couldnt remember so that caused her some problems - remind me never to set foot in that branch of HSBC again:mad: I think that what I should have done was call First Direct there and then (funny how you think of these things after the event:rolleyes:)

Hello PPP - nice to have you back and enjoy your trips to the post office with your ebay packages.

No lottery win for me but then I didnt buy a ticket.
  • Eeep! The forum monster ate my lovely post! The trolls don't want me to delurk!

Well, I'm going to pay them no attention. What I said was something along the lines of...

Yup, Nargle, a teeny bit of a house! One brick of the wall and one for the cistern to keep down my water bills ;) I'm approaching house saving the same way I did debt busting - the large amounts are great, but the little ones count too. I'll get there eventually :)

Hi Horace! Not looking forward to the dreaded Post Office, but I'll keep those bricks in mind! Decided to have some lunch before I go. The queue could be very long....

Hello Everyone Else! I hope no one minds me joining in here, I'm no longer a DFW, but I've been lurking here since I was and think this is one of the friendliest places on the whole forum :o

Anyway, no doubt I shall be back later, have to relist all the things that didn't sell this time, there's another brick's worth I'm sure!

    Hi everybody.

Over the last few weeks we have had a number of "troll" attacks on the boards.

What is a Troll? A troll is a person that posts deliberately provocative, nasty or hurtful comments on threads. They may be a person with no previous connection to the board or someone that has created a pseudonym to get their point made.

If you should get a comment made on any thread you post asking for help and advice please realise this comment is not directed at you personally.
We really are all a lovely bunch here (oops, modest, sorry) so please ignore these nasty comments and continue to post here as normal.

what should i do if i get a comment made on my thread?

firstly do not respond to the comment as this invariably is what the person wants. At the bottom of the post, on the right hand side is a red "warning" triangle. Click this and then "send" the message that comes up. This will report the message to abuse who will review it's content and delete it.

The person we had this morning was particularly vile and nasty and please believe me is an extreme rarity here.
Above all PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE THE BOARDS. THIS SITE IS AN ASSET TO SO MANY, ESPECIALLY WHEN IT FEELS THE WORLD IS FALLING IN ON YOU. THERE IS SUCH A WEALTH OF ADVICE HERE TO BE HAD THAT THE COMMENTS OF ONE MUST NOT DETER YOU FROM AVAILING YOURSELF OF THE KNOWLEDGE HERE!!!!

It is testament to the work that martin has done and continues to do that so many people give their time knowledge and experience freely to others, without judgement, to lift people out of the depths of debt crisis

PLEASE DO NOT LET THE ACTIONS OF THE MINORITY RUIN THAT.

    Kind wishes
    P

Just checked my lottery - I did one better than you Princess - but I still only got 2 numbers and that too is not enough :(

Of course we don't mind you joining in even though you are debt free - I have no intention of leaving if I ever become debt free (this sadly is not likely anytime soon as it turns out I'm quite useless at debt busting).

Mmm just had a very tasty toasted teacake for lunch.
