Sounds like a lovely item Horace, my sort of thing. I'm sure you'll get them down in price, with your skills I wouldn't be suprised if they aren't paying you to have it by the end of tomorrow!
Sad MSE confession - I like to be on MSE on a Tuesday so I get to be among the first to read Martins email, does anyone else do this instead of waiting for it to arrive in their inbox?A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -
Hi everybody.
Over the last few weeks we have had a number of "troll" attacks on the boards.
What is a Troll? A troll is a person that posts deliberately provocative, nasty or hurtful comments on threads. They may be a person with no previous connection to the board or someone that has created a pseudonym to get their point made.
If you should get a comment made on any thread you post asking for help and advice please realise this comment is not directed at you personally.
We really are all a lovely bunch here (oops, modest, sorry) so please ignore these nasty comments and continue to post here as normal.
what should i do if i get a comment made on my thread?
firstly do not respond to the comment as this invariably is what the person wants. At the bottom of the post, on the left hand side is a red "warning" triangle. Click this and then "send" the message that comes up. This will report the message to abuse who will review it's content and delete it.
The person we had this morning was particularly vile and nasty and please believe me is an extreme rarity here.
Above all PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE THE BOARDS. THIS SITE IS AN ASSET TO SO MANY, ESPECIALLY WHEN IT FEELS THE WORLD IS FALLING IN ON YOU. THERE IS SUCH A WEALTH OF ADVICE HERE TO BE HAD THAT THE COMMENTS OF ONE MUST NOT DETER YOU FROM AVAILING YOURSELF OF THE KNOWLEDGE HERE!!!!
It is testament to the work that martin has done and continues to do that so many people give their time knowledge and experience freely to others, without judgement, to lift people out of the depths of debt crisis
PLEASE DO NOT LET THE ACTIONS OF THE MINORITY RUIN THAT.
Kind wishes
P

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:his email comes to my Blackberry so I don`t have to be online.. I`m usually in Tesco or about to have a swim....I always stop to have a read...just in case there are any offers that I can get as soon as they are announced.
Hope your back is improving H....take it easy!

Bumping from page 3 - a hot and tired Horace has braved the hoardes at the Autumn Fair and returned home with some freebies and some 'samples'. I purchased an umbrella for £10 - not the posh one for $50 or even £120 but from the same stand, it still handmade in Italy though:cool: I got muddled with the lamps and ended up buying the larger lamp which I liked better for £55 (no VAT either) plus when the halogen bulbs give out I only need to call them and they will send me a free set:cool: My lamp is worth a cool £200:eek: Getting it past security was a pain "do you have a receipt for that, madam?" no said I "its a sample" at which point I was allowed to leave - it was the same with the umbrella bought this morning which I went and put in the car.0

Sounds like a good day H. !
Just BUMPING before tea.
