Morning all
Numpty - have you tried cleaning your mouse?
I had a chat with the landlord again today this time about the bin area and how we need another bin - 2 commercial bins for 8 flats is enough but as his mate Wayne's tenants also use the bins 12 flats into 2 bins just won't go:rolleyes: Plus Wayne's tenants move in and out and dump their old beds and mattresses by the bins in the vain hope that they will be collected by the bin men. I also had to do a little job for him too - photocopy the letter that he sent round when eejit in the basement was causing trouble and post it to 7 addresses in the block. Scroat downstairs below me has denied playing loud music and smoking dope but surprise surprise since they had a little chat with her she has been quiet.
Oh and I have managed to get a local councillor to come and jump start my car so I think as the car needs a run a trip to Pershore and back should do the trick and I may even get a bag or two of fresh plums and make crumbles.0 -

We really are all a lovely bunch here (oops, modest, sorry) so please ignore these nasty comments and continue to post here as normal.
what should i do if i get a comment made on my thread?
firstly do not respond to the comment as this invariably is what the person wants. At the bottom of the post, on the left hand side is a red "warning" triangle. Click this and then "send" the message that comes up. This will report the message to abuse who will review it's content and delete it.
The person we had this morning was particularly vile and nasty and please believe me is an extreme rarity here.
Above all PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE THE BOARDS. THIS SITE IS AN ASSET TO SO MANY, ESPECIALLY WHEN IT FEELS THE WORLD IS FALLING IN ON YOU. THERE IS SUCH A WEALTH OF ADVICE HERE TO BE HAD THAT THE COMMENTS OF ONE MUST NOT DETER YOU FROM AVAILING YOURSELF OF THE KNOWLEDGE HERE!!!!
It is testament to the work that martin has done and continues to do that so many people give their time knowledge and experience freely to others, without judgement, to lift people out of the depths of debt crisis
PLEASE DO NOT LET THE ACTIONS OF THE MINORITY RUIN THAT.
Kind wishes

Evening all.
I had a lovely afternoon driving to and from Pershore. I went to my favourite greengrocer who sells homemade jam, fruit and veg from Pershore College (its about a mile if that up the road from the shop), plus some string beans from Badsey - I also toyed with the idea of getting some cobnuts too (well they were on countryfile last night).
I came home with one cauliflower (picked today), a bag of victoria plums, a bag of president plums, some string beans, 4 Discovery apples (1 was eaten with my dinner) and a jar of homemade greengage jam that had been made on 31 August...yum. The local bakery sold me some rolls and some naughties (a slice of lardy cake and a pineapple cream - alright then make that two pineapple creams:D) I trotted into Asda and got some cooked ham. some cheese, a quiche, some sweeties, a magazine and..my most prized possession of all - a bottle of gravy browning. Gravy browning in liquid form is extremely scarce in these parts but now I know that Asda sells it whereas Tesco, Morrisons (shudder - I hate that place), Aldi, Lidl and Sainsbury's don't:rolleyes: Oh I got a refund for an hour's parking too (I had only paid for an hour anyway).0 -
Page 2 BUMP.....
Hi H...I had forgotton that gravy browning used to come in bottles....I remember that from being a kid! Funny `square` bottles I think. Sounds like you had a good day.0 -
Gravy Browning had used to come in thin square bottles - this lot that I managed to get today is in a kind of bulbous bottle. I like real gravy made with meat juices - granules just aren't the same:rolleyes:
I shall be out and about for the next two days so don't get worrying that something has happened to me - I am off to the Autumn Fair tomorrow and Wednesday:D0
