Mornin' all .... 'tis dry overhead, but 'tis wet underfoot.

Morning all...its lovely here today, not a cloud in the sky:j Will be getting dressed in a while as I have to visit the quacks today to be poked by medical students first before I see the doc:rolleyes: Don't want to take off my warm jamas though:rolleyes:

Had a bit of bad news today..one of my chums sent me an email last night, he had just come back from Prague (lucky devil) - he told me that one of my old work colleagues was buried 10 days' ago as she had eventually succumbed to cancer - she had battled it for 15 years but as she had the cancer gene then it was pretty much inevitable. Still it is quite sad..although she could be a cow:rolleyes:

Have a good day everybody....Nargle - I have put my clothes horse in front of the window where the Nature's own sun can dry my sheet and duvet cover (the pillowcases dried yesterday).

Clothes horse Horace? Very old-style moneysaving - but often the old ways are the best. Sorry about the bad news, whatever you thought of the person it is still a kick in the teeth when someone you know dies, it brings home your own mortality. Have a good day being poked and prodded by all the med students, hope they warm their hands up first!

Why do I always wear the wrong clothes when I have to see the quack? Saw 2 med students one female who did the examining and asking questions (she took my pulse) and one male who sat and watched although he did ask me questions about my legs and whether or not I go unconcious when I have a dizzy spell. Saw the nice male doctor again..and he asked me to roll up my sleeve so he could take my pulse so I ended up having to drag my arm out from the sleeve of my sweatshirt so that he could do my blood pressure. Pressure is normal and then he listened to both sides of my neck..I have to go back in a month but he has given me some different tablets that I have to take 3x a day. He didnt believe that I have super normal hearing and so he got a dog whistle out of the drawer and blew it (why he would have such a thing I have no idea:confused:) you should have seen his face when I said that I could hear it:eek:

    Hi everybody.

Over the last few weeks we have had a number of "troll" attacks on the boards.

What is a Troll? A troll is a person that posts deliberately provocative, nasty or hurtful comments on threads. They may be a person with no previous connection to the board or someone that has created a pseudonym to get their point made.

If you should get a comment made on any thread you post asking for help and advice please realise this comment is not directed at you personally.
We really are all a lovely bunch here (oops, modest, sorry) so please ignore these nasty comments and continue to post here as normal.

what should i do if i get a comment made on my thread?

firstly do not respond to the comment as this invariably is what the person wants. At the bottom of the post, on the left hand side is a red "warning" triangle. Click this and then "send" the message that comes up. This will report the message to abuse who will review it's content and delete it.

The person we had this morning was particularly vile and nasty and please believe me is an extreme rarity here.
Above all PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE THE BOARDS. THIS SITE IS AN ASSET TO SO MANY, ESPECIALLY WHEN IT FEELS THE WORLD IS FALLING IN ON YOU. THERE IS SUCH A WEALTH OF ADVICE HERE TO BE HAD THAT THE COMMENTS OF ONE MUST NOT DETER YOU FROM AVAILING YOURSELF OF THE KNOWLEDGE HERE!!!!

It is testament to the work that martin has done and continues to do that so many people give their time knowledge and experience freely to others, without judgement, to lift people out of the depths of debt crisis

PLEASE DO NOT LET THE ACTIONS OF THE MINORITY RUIN THAT.

    Kind wishes
    P

As ever please do not get scared off this lovely forum by the trolls. Please do not feed the trolls. Please do feel the regulars.
