Frugal pressie was well received by friend and in the spirit of frugality she even recycled the newspaper to stuff toilet rolls for firelighters :rotfl:

I so need to be on the live under 4k for a year :) my new religion is frugal.

Confession - found a box of Orkney fudge and a thank you card under sofa in study when tidying up - darwin blanket thank you - very very embarrassed - thought had posted it um a week or so after you sent the blanket :o

Do you think that perhaps the 'oldies' would accept the time delay thank you cards etc as some kind of northern time zone lag???:rotfl:
Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.
Total debt as of 28/4/19 £7867.38:eek:

    Morning all!
After a fairly lazy weekend I'm back to usual behaviour. This is my week off before I start uni so lots to be done in the way of tidying, organising, panicking, wedding stuff.....
OH is off today so I won't go bonkers and ignore him at the expense of jobs so I'll have to do sneaky little things!

    My list...
    • Buy horrible big bridget jones seamfree knickers to go under wedding frock for fitting on Weds - they really are disturbingly awful and cost £18 from M&S:eek:
    • Went into Mr Ts next door to M&S and walked out without buying anything
    • OH is washing my car now whilst he does his - saves me the £5 carwash bless him
    • Put all clean washing away - done
    • Clean kitchen - done
    • Stew some manky apples and make potato salad from leftover spuds - done
    • Check banks
    • Take doggy for a big walk this afternoon if the weather holds to get some free exercise and fresh air - may buy an icecream from the waterpark though
    • Try to tidy out at least one wardrobe and bag up for charity - need the space desperately
    • Text friends just to say hello with free texts - done
    • Tidy upstairs - done
    • Do any surveys that come
    • Stay in tonight and watch the soaps and Wuthering Heights - really didn't expect to enjoy part one last night but thought it was really good - would recommend, even OH sat through it
    • All meals from home using up fresh stuff in the fridge
That's it for today - have a good one

Hi all - managed to take my own lunch in again today as well as a carton of Lidl's Apple saft and a 25p can of Diet Pepsi. Total spend was about £1. Add in my bus fars and that was £2.20 spent today.

Took in a parcel to post for Ebay but PO was shut, so I couldn't cash my postal order either but will do that tomorrow. Got some more Ebay listings to follow up tonight.

Oh, and got a note saying that Quidco have transferred £51 to my account!
Almost debt-free, but certainly even with the Banks!

The good news is you sent some fudge with the chicken picture which went to oldies, they were very happy!, the bad news is if it wasn't their fudge someone else is missing a pressie :rotfl:

    Hello all,

I have vacated my holiday cottage and am back home. So today was hectic moving stuff and cleaning. And at this end unpacking and washing. BF was absolute star and while I was unpacking he yet again sorted my garden and hung my washing and when I put DD to bath he did my w-up. What a lovely man. Anyway he has gone back home now. I might just go and have bath as I have the water hot.

Hope everyone has had great weekend. Catch up again tomorrow!!!

I have worked an extra 12 hrs this weekend and feel totally wiped out and I avoided stopping off for a takeaway on the way home today!

Ever wonder about those people who spend £2 apiece on those little bottles of Evian water? Try spelling Evian backward.

This three day weekend hasn't been too bad on the spends :

    We have:

    SAT
    - Washed my mums car(she is selling it) and helped clean inside the house for her and do her food shop(she's come out of hospital recently and we don't want her doing too much. I spent nothing, boyfriend spent £20 on petrol.

    SUN
    - We went to a bird of prey centre, used Tesco clubcard deals so was free.
    - Went to a beer festival, where boyfriend spent £9 on beer and I spent £5 on raffles.
    - Went for a two course meal, costing £25.50 and I paid.

    TODAY
    - Checked bank - As expected ;)
    - Did stuff around the house - FREE :j
    - Went shopping for tools, boyfriend spent £28
    - Went for lunch, cost £25 boyfriend paid
    - Went to the cinema £15 and I paid, but BF got us ice cream costing £10.
    - Went home and painted the bathroom.

So all In all I didnt spend too much, although the BF did.

I think the next few weekends will be non spend days - hugs and love to everyone.
Hope you all had a good bank holiday!
No you're not a vegetarian if you eat any animal or fish, so do not insult genuine veggies by calling yourself one!
